Im gonna sound like a soppy tit but Im actually tearing up listening to once. Just reminds me of my grandfather when hes singing about how we used to shine back then and feel inspired to do it all again but you only get to do it once. true words. Beautiful tune. Haha got me in the back of the throat too....bloody beautiful who knew it...LG now the better songwriter (  ?) |

The footage they used in the documentary of Liam off his tits supposedly in his alcohol wilderness is actually all recent. The clip of him on the bus ("Were on the magic bus to Brussels") is from last year's European tour and the bit where he goes "Day one off me coconut" is also from last year even though it was supposed to illustrate the whole trip to Palma.
Having said this that whole sequence was probably the most emotional of the whole film for me. Particularly when The Morning Son kicks in.

I had to stay up and watch it. Best parts are when it shows Liam making music and being with his family. The film definitely shows a different side to Liam, although I'm sure his fans already knew that he can be sweet and vulnerable too. I really liked it, although at times it felt a bit too polished, and some of the editing choises were odd.

Just thought I don’t think it showed the heights of LCCC or Finsbury!? Weird Yeah was surprised about that too.Would have been a nice bookend to the Start of the Supersonic film with the giant gigs on it.Just kind of abruptly ended.Still enjoyed it though. |

Couldn’t sleep, so watched it during the night.
I’m gonna go against the general consensus here, sorry, yeah it’s a good watch but I don’t feel inclined to see it again. Most of the footage we’ve already seen. Was good to see a few clips of him in the studio though, these were my favourite scenes.
I think if you don’t know much about who Liam is, you’ll love it, but for anyone who’s more than a casual fan it doesn’t really give any more of an insight. (I don’t mean his personal life, would’ve been good to see more about him putting those first few songs together and building on ideas)
I’m pleased it got released rather than ditched as feared. It’s a good 8/10 as bio pics go.
Once is stunning.
