Is that official? Looks like loads of the previously released Facebook material cobbled together by a fan? X

I really want to see it. After Beady Eye folded, I thought Liam was pretty much done in.

I like to think that the documentary is done this way, done with my iPhone.

As a fan I'm going to watch it. But it will probably be something like:
"Ya Noel's the one who ended Oasis you know what I mean?"
"Noel was plotting it for years"
"It's about time I got out of his shadow"
"I would reform Oasis in a fuckin' heartbeat, without a doubt"
"Took a long break and my missus helped get back after Beady Eye and other personal shit"
"Now I'm back and doing proper rock and roll"
You'll see some interviews with his songwriting team talking about how amazing it is to work with Liam (like Dave Sardy used to do with Noel), maybe a Warner exec saying how amazing it is that Liam signed with them.
That probably sums it up.

I was super excited about this UNTIL I saw the trailer.
I want a documentary that shows us what we don’t already know, that is capable of showing a reality minus the fan glasses. This feels too fan worshippy, littered with Gallagher cliches.

I don't see anything wrong with this approach. This is a PR move and I don't think it's directed towards this forum's members. But towards the new generation of fans. Noel shared his opinions for almost a decade. So what if Liam starts throwing shit at Noel? In the long run it will benefit them both.

The Spice Girls are reportedly working on a documentary that reveal all about what life was like in the girl band.
The fivesome, who recently reunited, are planning on releasing the film in cinemas, and they have already attracted interest from Netflix and the BBC. It will be the band’s second film project after their animated superhero outing. Apparently they were inspired by Liam Gallagher’s doc As It Was, which is said to be getting a fair bit of buzz at the Cannes Film Festival. The Sun say that sources close to the Spice Girls have revealed the ladies ‘want to do something cooler and edgier for this reunion’. ‘They’ve been watching Liam’s film project closely and have been using that as a basis for their discussions’ they added.
Whatever they come up with has to live up to the majesty of Spiceworld: The Movie, so they’ve got a big task on their hands. Read more: metro.co.uk/2018/05/11/spice-girls-working-tell-documentary-plan-september-concerts-7539641/?ito=twitter?ito=cbshareInteresting lol... Probably not true but still.

Two docs: Liam talking about himself or Noel talking about himself. Same dialog:
"He did it!"
and
"He did it!"
Except the critics will give great reviews to Noel.

So... has this been shown at Cannes one of the past few days or what?
The information about this docu is all pretty vague in my opinion.

I think that this wasn't shown in Cannes at all. Can't find anything about it.
edit: I guess it didn't make the cut?

I was under the impression it's not actually screening at Cannes because it's not a completed film. Didn't the blurb say it would include Finsbury? I think when they said it's "showing" at Cannes they meant they're shopping it around to potential distributors for release probably later this year or next year. There's probably a short reel and promo packet or something.
