now they are blaming Bridgestone for their troubles but it's true! look at michelin, and look minardi and jordan, ok they aren't good cars, but the almost can't drive them because of the tires. Bridgestone only got ferrari to do tests, jordan and minardi hardly ever made. And michelin got 7 teams working.

First BAR, now Toyota might be in trouble:
Toyota unlicensed through four races TSN.ca Staff
5/13/2005 10:17:09 AM
Toyota's strong start to the Formula One season may hit a road block due an administrative error.
According to a report in the June edition of F1 Racing magazine, Toyota did not get their competition license and Superlicense paperwork into FIA until after the San Marino Grand Prix.
Toyota Motorsport president John Howett confirmed the administrative error to the magazine, but was confident the issue has been resolved.
"This was a genuine administrative mistake which we sincerely regret," Howett is quoted as saying. "This has now been resolved with the German authorities and the revised documents have now been submitted to the FIA. They've now issued us with a new Superlicence."
A FIA spokesperson confirmed the matter is under investigation but it's unclear what, if any, action will be taken against the Cologne-based team. It's possible that the points accumulated by Toyota through the first four races could be wiped out or the team could face a simple fine.
The license issue came to light when Toyota attempted to appeal a 25 second penalty to Ralf Schumacher at the San Marino Grand Prix. All protests must be made through the national motor sport authority, in this case Germany's DMSB since Toyota F1 is based in Cologne. It was then that it was discovered they did not have the necessary license.
Teams must have a competition licence issued by their national authority before they can get a superlicence, which is issued by FIA. Toyota says it always had a superlicense but failed to renew their competition license since 2000.
Howett, looking to avoid any comparisons to the recent BAR-Honda controversy, says he brought the license issue to the attention of FIA as soon as they were made aware of the situation.

Michelin is saying their tires won't last the whole race, and want the FIA to allow them to bring another compound, and to make a chicane in turn 13. The FIA won't do it so we're probably going to see a lot of blown tires today. Let's hope they don't black flag the race early.

Well folks, this is the last time the F1 cars will ever race in the United States - there will be lawsuits from this farce, and the ticketholders will win. NASCAR will be sending a fruitbasket to Bernie soon, because F1 shooting themselves in the foot guarantees no competition for them in the US...

what a fuckin disgrace. A bunch of billionaire crybabies can't get their collective acts together. I feel sorry for everyone who paid money to go to Indy, and to everyone who was waiting for a good race today.
Stupid rules, stupid choices are killing the sport. Well it's as good as dead in the US. How hard could it have been to come up with some sort of solution? Max Mosley and Bernie could have thought of something, and Michelin could have tested their stuff beforehand. And Ferrari didn't want any changes to rules for this week.
They could have at least sent them out to see what happened. If the tires were going out they could bring them in and then make them retire out of the race.
