I feel like Biden or Bloomberg could take him down. That is the exact type of Democrat that could potentially lose. Ha! We can agree to disagree. In my view, Warren or Booker or Harris would get annihilated.

Biden is another typical establishment politician, and we all saw how that went in 2016. People desperately wants change, and Biden will give them none of it. Could still win, but it would be a reckless gamble to have him as the Democratic nominee. The obvious chouce? As long as he stays alive, Bernie Sanders. Even if I didn't love him it would still be, because he simply is the most popular politician in the US. Polling shows he would have won och easily against Trump two years ago, and while Trump has gotten even less popular Bernie has only further established himself as the one showing the way for the future of the Democratic party. His ideas are popular not just among the majority of the base, but even among many republicans. He would absolutely slay Trump in 2020 if given the chance. Next best option would probably be Warren, even though I have some doubts as to whether she will stay 100% true to the things that made her as popular as she is today. Still, she would be miles better than Booker and especially Biden.

What do my American friends think would happen if Michelle Obama went for it? I know she has said she is not interested though. She seems kind, articulate, intelligent and seems to have a sensible view on most things. That's me looking at it as a complete outsider though obviously.

Even uglier than 2016, because this time around The Donald is already on top as opposed to needing a year to even get taken semi-seriously. I wouldn't wish such a thing on anyone.

I agree, which is why I think somebody like her would be able to rip him up for arse paper. Perhaps the Dems should look at putting up a really crap candidate in 2020 and allow the clown another 4 years to make a total bollocks of things.

Obviously Donald Trump wasn’t qualified to be president, but somehow Michelle Obama is qualified in your eyes? How do you rationalize that?

She did spend 8 years very close up with a errrr...president. She probably understands the job better than most and many senators. Donald wasn't qualified? He still isn't.

Calling for Michelle Obama really is a sign of desperation, and I can't see any reason why it would be a good idea, no matter if she wins or not. What does she want, what are her policy ideas? Let's find that out first, wanting someone to run for president and THEN ask what they're all about is like going for a ride with your new car before you've bought the wheels.

And that counts as qualified to you?? In that case, Melania Trump is on her way to being as qualified as her. But you wouldn’t even think of voting for her as president, right? Do you see the holes in your logic?

I'm not by the way proposing that Michelle Obama run or that if she did and I was American that I would be happy with that, only pointing out that her experience of the role is reasonable. Michelle Obama is a university graduate in law as have these other presidents according to the internet, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, John Tyler, James Polk, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce,James Buchanan,Abraham Lincoln, Rutherfield Hayes, Chester Arthur,Grover Cleveland,Benjamin Harrison,William M C Kinley, William Taft,Woodrow Wilson,Calvin Cooledge,Franklin Roosevelt, Barack Obama,William Clinton, Gerald Ford, and Richard Nixon Coupled with 8 years in the White House, I'd say that's a good start. Comparing her to a woman who has been in the White House for a couple of years with the least presidential of all presidents and someone who lacks some very basic skills makes your comparsion stupid in the extreme, I see gaping holes in your logic.

Dems struggled with the rust belt/Midwest. You can pin Clinton's loss on Michgian, Wisconsin, and Ohio/ Pennsylvania. None of those areas demographically should be Trump country. They should be easier to flip back. Klobuchar isn't overtly partisan, but she's not too moderate either. She's a solid debate artist, having studied Law at Yale and U of C and been a prosecutor, and by the election she will have been a Senator for 16 years. She's extremely Midwestern in her delivery and communication, and that's basically what Democrats need, atm. Also, the big thing is that she's really popular with farmers, which many farmers are angry with Trump because tariffs are killing their profits. You start flipping farmers in the rust belt/Midwest and it's basically a route.

¿Is that the buzz phrase on the white nationalist websites and forums? God bless. “Someone doesn’t agree with me? Then they’re a Nazi!” I marinaded a skirt steak in a Cuban-style marinade last night, having it for dinner......I doubt white nationalists eat food like that. Thanks.

There are a TON of people missing from this image. Just sayin'. Are they non white or female? There are only ~80 people on there... so you're missing roughly 450 members... I'm not saying that this image is not in some way representative of congress, but when presented in this way it's hardly credible either. Here's an article covering the entirety of congress... and yes, there is clearly a disparity of diversity between parties, but overall congress is still white and male regardless of party affiliation.
