Mainly, bands that you haven’t listened to more or less ever!
Mine, there’s plenty more, of course (Noel would be ashamed that I don’t have any of these in my collection!):
Rolling Stones AC/DC Pink Floyd Led Zepplin The Who Fleetwood Mac The Doors Guns N Roses Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) The Eagles Boston The Byrds Styx Bob Dylan Bruce Springsteen (too fucking American, aye)

Everyone's music collection should include the Rolling Stones' albums Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main St. and Some Girls....
Thanks.

Especially Bob Dylan! Call yourself a rock music fan? You can pass on the rest though, they're overrated as fuck. Except Fleetwood Mac. I've never knowingly heard any of their songs. Oh, and I hope your aren't another one of those morons who thinks that Born in the USA is a patriotic anthem. Thanks.

Mate, you're expecting too much from someone who loves Busted, gets down to T Swift, and dabbles with Ed Sheeran, innit.

Fixed Boston's debut album and Bon Scott-era AC/DC are great. Eh, Boston's debut is great, but I'll never not associate it with my dad playing it incessantly in the car and hearing More Than a Feeling on literally every classic rock station ever. Same goes for AC/DC, except my dad also hates them. You already know what I think about Led Zep, and, outside of Tommy, The Who really aren't my thing. To quote Sly and the Family Stone, "Different strokes for different folks"

Anyone who doesn't have any Bob Dylan in their library shouldn't be allowed on a music forum. Same goes with The Beatles and, of course, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? Anyway: - Bruce Springsteen (I really, really, really wanna like this guy but I just can't) - AC/DC - The Who - Fleetwood Mac - The Doors - Guns 'n' Roses - ELO - The Eagles And, if I'm honest, I only have Led Zepplin IV 'cos I feel I should; I don't ever listen to it.

Out of that list?
AC/DC - none of their songs has made me want to listen to more Boston - I should at the very least add More than a Feeling to my spotify, tune Doors - never got the hype Styx - aren't they kind of shite anyway? Zep - actually have Kashmir saved, but it's the only song of theirs i really dig
Peak ELO is better than the Beatles imo.

Smells Like Teen Spirit > More Than A Feeling I've also made this case, and I like Nirvana a hell lot more than I like Boston.

Fortunate Son is one of the greatest protest songs that there is. Period.

I don't know if I've heard enough from them to make a completely fair judgment, but The Eagles are soooo overrated. And Hotel California might be the most overrated song in the world, containing the most overrated guitar solo as well. Still annoyed that they were in the Rolling Stone "100 greatest artists" issue, while for example The Smiths were left out. An Americentric(if that's not a word it should be) publication of course, but still not a valid excuse.

Not even Rumours? You should check it out. You'd love the second song, 'Dreams'. Stevie Nicks has the sultriest voice, it's fucking great. Also, I'd argue Physical Graffiti is a better Led Zep album than IV. And maybe Led Zeppelin II is, too.

It's always very high on lists with best songs ever and all, but to me it's fairly..meh.

Or at least they would have sounded vastly different, as they were extremely inspired by the Beatles. It was even Jeff's aim to "pick up where the Beatles left", were often compared to the Beatles and even John Lennon himself said this was what they'd probably sound like, had they continued. Oh also, I disagree.

Oh also, I disagree. Very true! They built on the formula already established, and in my view they perfected it. The Beatles were more innovative by far, naturally, and probably "better" if we're going by some kind of positivist idea of what quality music is. My emotional connection to ELO make them more important to me than the Beatles though.
