Honestly its tough. Best collection of songs: NGHFB by a wide margin Highest Highs: CY Best sounding: WBTM? This. Couldn’t agree more.

Noely G's High Sounding Words
Then I THINK, as an album, I prefer Chasing Pests Away to the 3rd
And finally, although I do like a few of the songs on there a lot, Who Felt Keith Moon bringing up the rear.
I could quite easily listen to pretty much all of CY but have to skip a fair bit on WBTM out of boredom. Love NGHFB though, could definitely see when that came out why Noel had always wanted to do a solo album, ready for him and Liam to suck each other off now though and make some music together, pair of c*nts.

IMO, they are all very close to eachother, as far as overall quality is concerned. CY confidently last, though, for all its generic bullshit. Who Built the Moon? Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds Chasing Yesterday Simples. Agreed.

When the time comes, he's gonna be able to put out a pretty tidy solo best of compilation that's for sure.

Chasing Yesterday - a damn near classic set of songs. Easily the best post-Oasis Noel, imo. NGHFB - An excellent debut. Almost classic itself. Who Built the Moon? - The most dreadful, awful, bullshit thing released since the demise of Oasis.

Based on the highs, which is usually what I remember about an album: Chasing Yesterday, NGHFB, WBTM.

1. Chasing Yesterday - still love the sound, don't think it's generic at all and the styles mix nicely from song to song. Lows aren't all that low.
2. Who Built the Moon - I don't like two of the tracks, the rest ranges from good to great. It has the best flow of any HFB album for sure, the sound has evolved from CY, but I'm currently giving CY the edge on sheer song quality.
3. HFB - the songs are mostly there, but some are produced to death, and some are a little Noel by numbers.
All three very close together, all three very good IMO. Very happy with how Noel's solo career is turning out.

I’d probably say
WBTM NGHFB CY
I remember when CY was released and people are here were loving it and saying stuff like Riverman was in the top 5 songs he’d ever written etc but I found the whole thing boring
I actually prefer As You Were to all three😬

I'm so in love with many tunes from the first album. But its the sheer ordinaryness [Is that a word?] That puts it at No 3. But that aint a bad thing
Gold: Who Built the Moon? Silver: Chasing Yesterday Bronze: Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds
Im reserving the Platinum Award for HFB4 or Oasis8
Kind Regards
Ben

Totally agree! NGHFB WBTM? CY CY has aged the worst, imo. It has great highs -- Riverman, WTSRTS, BOTMI -- but some lows, too (Girl with X-Ray Eyes). I can already tell WBTM will surpass it in the long run, but NGHFB just holds a special place in my heart. It's more consistent.

The first album on paper is the best, even Record Machine live sounded a lot better but it got the Sardy treatment and ruined good songs like IIHAG, EOTR, AKAWAL ect; the collection of songs are the best of the 3, CY is 2nd there's a few on there that divides people like BOTMI (which I love) and In the Heat of the Moment I loved that live, everyone around me loved it, even The Mexican it was mint live. The new one is without a doubt the best produced of the 3 but the songs aren't there IMO, everyone has their right to a say but half of the album the songs just aren't there. I know this thread would come up but the same as when CY/NGHFB came out, I think in 3 months time those putting the new one as top will change their mind once the excitement of a new album fades.

1) Who Built The Moon? - It's new, exciting, the experimental nature it's what make this album his most rewarding.
2) Chasing Yesterday - I like it, his most "normal" album, it's the album I would recomend to newcomers.
3) High Flying Birds - Sardy ruined this album IMO, the overproduction make some tracks cheesy as hell.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds - A few songs are weak, but many were very spot on and always wanted as a fan. The whole album can be played, even if some demos were better.
Chasing Yesterday - had many great tracks, but certain tracks I don't want to listen again.
Who Built The Moon? - Some catchy tracks, but overall it's not a proper classic record. DOYS is slightly better. Noel is channeling the Pet Shop Boys too much. Dead In The Water is excellent,If Love Is The Law, Holy Mountain too.

1. Who Built The Moon. Although that may very well be my sheer enthusiasm and the fact it's just out.
2. NGHFB. Although the worst production of all 3 (why, WHy couldn't he have gone with someone else), I find myself listening to the majority of these songs more often than the ones on Chasing Yesterday.
3. Chasing Yesterday. Not a bad album, but hey, one has to come in third.
