How can a person give an album 10/10 when 3 songs are decent and the rest is mediocre? Am I losing the plot, or is that just complete nonsense? Who writes this shit? What the fuck is the internet any more? Why me, why not? I like all the songs but 2 .. which is more than I can say about 4 of the Oasis albums. Noel im.assuming this is you .. please stop writing bad disco club music and start writing proper albums like WMWN The avatar - don't need to say more than that really. Angry baby girl is back again to poke the big kids with her rattle. Come on love get a grip, it is just very pathetic now.

I know many users of this forum are very busy listening WMWN and they can´t spend their time posting every day how great is this album.
But, at the same time is very sad that only the handful of members who dislike the album are posting every day about how bad is the album, how bad is the production, how pop is the album...blah blah blah.
So, just to remember it. WMWN is a 8/10 for me. Full of great songs. I can play it from start to finish every day and i really enjoy every second on it. Could be better? Yes. But i´m really happy Liam continues making great music.

After listening umpteen times ..have to say Halo and Why me,why not really stick out with the orchestral parts and the piano. Something very upbeat and positive in the whole album..I think the last one was more of an angry record..that time has past musically for Liam I feel. Would be brilliant to hear him cover the angry classic Sex Pistols - Pretty Vacant though...He nailed Gimme shelter when I saw him do that live..although I am biased being as that is my fav Stones track!

Not taking this comment for myself but in all honestly, i dont post on a Lady Gaga or Coldplay forum, coz i dont care. People are here to say how much they are disappointed because they care, like a loved one that has let them down. It's hard to let go of something you've loved deeply for 5, 10 or 25 years.

I get that but with some people it's just the same thing over and over and over. it doesn't feel like they are disappointed in something or someone they used to love for many years, quite the opposite

Posting own opinion on this album is one thing, but to keep posting same f**ing thing over and over despite you've been asked to move on is another thing. It's nothing, but annoying.

If I say the album is shite and 1/10, can i get LlAM to like my post? I disagree, I rate the album 5/10 so far. But I'm thinking the album as a whole will drop overtime, whilst 2-4 of the songs might grow stronger, so yeah 5/10. (As a reference, I rated Who Built The Moon 5,5/10 and the EPs possibly 7/10 although there hasn't been a unified rating thread yet - perhaps Beady’s Here Now can make one when EP#3 is released). Standout tracks: One Of Us Why Me? Why Not Be Still The River Invisible Sun What are your thoughts? Ever give your thoughts this much about an album you rate 5/10 before? Doubt it.

Yes, I had lots of thoughts about Who Built The Moon which I rated 5,5/10. Do you know why? Because I'm a die hard fan of the Gallaghers. But you didn't notice that, because you only get offended when it's Liam that gets "negative" views. Someone summoned me and I answered with an honest opinion - you on the other hand hardly ever contribute to the discussions - you only comment people's comments and mainly them that are slightly negative towards Liam.

Why Me? Why Not is the most positive song Liam ever wrote, with an awesome message. Yeah, Simon Aldridge obviously wrote the chorus of it, but even so... it feels the most pure 'Liam' of the record. Gone is also extremely 'Liam', and I think this is why I place these two as my favourites of the record. I don't have anything against the others, and I especially love Halo, when loads of people get wound up by that song, for whatever reason. So my current ranking is... 1. Gone 2. WMWN 3. Once 4. Be Still 5. Halo 6. One of Us 7. Alright Now 8. The River 9.. Invisible Sun 10. Now That I Found You 11. Meadow 12. Misunderstood 13. Shockwave 14. Glimmer

Had a go at one of my favourites from the album. Apologies for the out of sync video and audio, something must of gone wrong rendering the video as it was perfect before that. Anyway, cheers for listening! Your reverb on the outro is great stuff - very dreamy. I like your version more than the album cut.

Contrary to all other Gallagher-related material post-Oasis (including Beady Eye), I don't go back to this record. The River and Invisible Sun are outstanding track, One of Us and Once are good, the rest does not do anything for me.
First time in years that I won't buy the newest vinyl single, but having my most hated track NTIFY on vinyl is just not an option for me.

Sorry mate, you don't get to be snide for months on end only to suddenly proclaim you're 'die hard fan of the Gallaghers.' At best its disingenuous, at worst its a lie. You're assuming I'm as dishonest as you, I'm not that bigger fan of one of the Gallaghers, only a passing interest. Many people don't like the album and that's just fine but don't put yourself in that group. There is difference between people expressing there view honestly and intrestingly and those repeating themself over and over to get a rise out of others.

Halo is one of the best song on the album imo It's very catchy. The piano is just incredible, it's not like on BTL, it's Rock n roll but in a quite "modern" way. The drums are perfect and Liam's vocals couldn't have been better. It even has a flute solo ffs, ain't it sophisticated? The "round the sun, round the sun, round the sun" (just like the rest of the album tbh) proves Liam is more complete as a singer nowadays even though his voice is not what it used to be 25 years ago.

The bit where Liam sings "Well, I gotta go, maybe see you down the road" as the guitars cut in and the strings swirl around in One of Us is absolutely hypnotic. What a fantastic song.

Shockwave - 5.5
A bit like Wall of Glass, I can see its a decent song and I can see why it was released first but it doesn't do much for me. I know its tone has put some off or that its aimed at Noel but its just one of Liam's rant songs to me and not one of the better ones.
One of Us - 8
Album kicks off here for me. Lovely bass and production touches, undeniably catchy and a gloriously gospel finish. Live I think its even better, some really nice guitar flourishes.
Once - 7
Rather than a rant, this is a much more mature look at the past, wistful, pretty with some decent lyrics and an outragously Beatles sounding instrumental break. I also really like the Blonde on Blonde guitar licks in the first part. A great vocal too.
Now That I Found You - 8
An absolute joy. I wouldn't want songs like this from Liam all the time but the album can support at least one of them and luckily its a good effort. Production is great, the fuzzy guitar solo leading into the final chorus with all the backing singers is well done. Its breezy and feels effortless.
Halo - 7
The ridiculous lyrics actually fit this bonkers, manic, piano driven tune. There is a lot to like about this, its not rocket science but it is good fun. Having a soft spot for Bring The Light its probably no surprise that I think its good. The little solo by whatever it is near the end is a nice touch.
Why Me? Why Not - 9
Easily the song that feels like it has the most Liam in it. I really like the verses but the chorus is great, my favourite Liam vocal on the record, The strings are really good on this too. My favourite on the album.
Alright Now - 6.5
A tune that has grown on me since release and maybe will do some more. Again some really nice touches, backing vocals, guitar solo and sung in a way I don't really think Liam has done before.
Meadow - 5
It just falls flat for me. I can see what they were going for (Harrison/Beatles) but I don't think they ever get there. Even Liam's best efforts can't save this one.
The River - 7.5
A beast of a song, straight out of the 70's, love the guitar effects and a few clunkly lyrics aside its a big vocal from Liam. Wasn't sure at first but its kept getting better for me.
Gone - 7
The Western tinged song Red Dead 2 was missing. Again I think Liam probably had a bit to do with the verses on this. The strings are nice as they are on most of the album. Its a decent finish to a decent album.
----------------------
Invisible Sun - 6 Has grown on me about, decent enough Ian Brown fare. Misunderstood - 3 Total shite, would rather have had two bonus tracks. Glimmer - 5.5 Light enough, pleasant, nothing more.

Can someone please tell me what Liam is referring to with “16 years ago”, in One Of Us.
I can’t figure it out.
