Take it easy. He said the 2nd EP will be released in September, maybe 45 days til we get it. Tour with Smashing Pumpkins starts next week, maybe we get an teaser/preview next Monday.

I think Noel forgot about the next few EPs. No interviews, no hype, no teasers, no announcements. Nothing but SILENCE in the last few weeks. Strange when you're supposedly trying to fill half-empty amphitheaters across America. He made it pretty clear by his actions during the last EP that he's not promoting these EPs that much. So I really wouldn't expect a full onslaught.

Noel is getting his money regardless. Hired gun for this USA jaunt.

I very much doubt Noel would do that kinda tour, with all the expenses involved of travelling in the US, with no fixed price.

I very much doubt Noel would do that kinda tour, with all the expenses involved of travelling in the US, with no fixed price. So let's say attendance only comes in at 50% capacity for a show...Noel gets paid his fixed amount no matter what, even if there's little-to-nothing left to pay the Pumpkins??? In other words: The Pumpkins are taking all the risk, and in theory, could get paid less than Noel, if the attendance is very poor? That doesn't make sense to me, but maybe that's how they do it.

There's a pretty detailed article there. www.theguardian.com/music/2017/jan/30/where-does-concert-ticket-money-goTo sum up, it depends on the popularity of the band. The SP probably had a good deal with those venues, since their comeback generated a lot of buzz, it's more probably the venue or the promoter who is taking a risk. Pretty sure Noel will be fine, maybe make a little money (for him ), But it's almost impossible to know what kinda deal they made. Oh and also, merchandising, dont forget that, that's also a big income source

By the way, if I remember correctly, This Is the Place is the name of a song that was played during a soundcheck a few weeks ago.
EDIT: yes, it was during the Japanese tour in May

A entire page of this thread on a Liam song is quite telling I suppose. No more ‘If I Had A Gun’ of TDOTL’s please. They’re both pretty rubbish and Noel is on to much better things these days. The only one I'd really like to here is 'Don't Stop Being Happy' or whatever it ended up being called. We know it has been recorded. But again, I'm not really desperate for it. If it comes out, great. People who are hardcore fans will know it's an oldie and people who aren't will probably love it - as long as it got the right treatment and was put out on an album or as a single. I don't really want it shoved away as a bonus track. I'd rather it just stay in the past than that happen. Yep i think it was originally a single when he recorded it.. then he said it didnt fit on chasing yesterday so he cancelled. That one has a great melody (kinda like half the world away, christmasy vibes lol) that could be a solid answer for Once

He said on Reddit in 2015 it's called "Don't Stop..." and it will get a release at some point. I hope it will be released as an outtake from the first ( on a hypothetical "Best Of..." or something like that) cos seems like that Noel won't go back to that sound and the song could be "ruined" if recorded now.
