I've bought six versions of the album. I've definitely lost the plot. Ignition, if you're reading, you can thank me later. But I wouldn't mind to have a seventh one for free, signed by Noel. My PMs are open. Cheers!  I counted seven myself  . Just finished watching the Anais diaries and despite it being hard to watch because it's mostly just a still for several minutes, it's just so nice and pleasurable to see Noel doing his thing and being in his element. Every second I was hoping for some outtakes but felt relief when I recognised a song or riff, haha. And Johnny Marr doing his thing for that matter is just spectacular. I've also made my way through the 'pedal show' yesterday. And without having a real clue about guitars whatsoever it was as entertaining as anything I've seen for a long time, interview wise. |

He’s today alone done over a 1000 copies be close as anything this will Yeah, at least they have done curse correction. Whether they do keep the streak alive or not changes are going to be necessary in future albums promotions. And start the tour on the UK, or have something to promote in shows to remind the casuals within the week of release. |

Even with the amount of versions he's put out there I doubt it'll be enough to make up the difference. Hopefully my vinyl purchase and streams right now will help.. I do admire Noel for not moving the date back once FF announced their album date though. Do artists usually run scared? Arctic Monkey had a big week but collided with Taylor Swift. An automatic “L”. I think it’s so easy for us fans to say “move the date” but at the end of the day who really cares? Can’t remember the last time I heard a fan brag about their band or artist going #1. I guess some do and have "delays" to push albums back. If I were NG I'd have moved it back to keep the streak going and the promo that would bring. |

As a longtime lurker on this forum I got inspired reading this thread tonight so I decided to buy a few different versions of the album today. Hopefully that can help Noel out to get another number 1. I really like the album so I feel it deserves the recognition of going to nr 1!

I'm sure for Noel it came down to not wanting to be on tour without the album. The whole point of touring with Garbage is partly to shift records. Not just online and in stores, but at the merch booth as well. Losing a whole week while lugging inventory you're not selling probably didn't make much sense to him. Especially since he's independent and paying those costs himself. |

Looks like the NTF finished at 864, not bad but I thought he'd get through them all today. I've ended up with X3 viynls, 3NTFs and a digital download! Good chart battle but if he'd have thrown 2.5k signed in he'd be home and hosed...and maybe a few chat shows, starting his tour in UK would have helped immensely. He's either not bothered or the marketing team need all firing tomorrow.

It’s not just Noel it ranges from Taylor Swift to The Smashing Pumpkins. How many different versions of the same album are we supposed to buy so they can get their “#1s”? Doesn’t help us the fan/listener. We don’t get rich or share the glory. We get poor. A lot of this obviously is tied to streaming albums and how no one buys physical albums anymore compared to the past so it’s now murky waters knowing who exactly the best “selling” in a given week. |
