Don't Stop sounds older. Doesn't have the same feeling, from late NGHFB / CY times maybe ?
They added the orchestra though. Sounds nice.

Love is a rich man : tempo finally accelerating a bit (i skipped the tracks we know already) Very nice too (still that awful compression though) Just sounds like the I am the resurrection drums under a different song to my uneducated ear |

I just got to the "Dead to the World" track, it just hit me that I'm listening to the final mix (not the version that was released), in the entire album's final sequence; the album mix essentially. I legit have been welling up as my depression has been pretty devestating in the last few months. Completely worth the wait. |

Really like that song, when times were bad during lockdown this song always put a smile on my face. Nice to hear this version, listened to the album once, just on the bonus tracks

Wow, Noel really held back some of the best tracks for release didn't he? INGUT, There She Blows, Love Is A Rich Man, and Think Of A Number, all absolutely fantastic in their own ways. Listening to the album as a whole now, I get the reviews being strong, because it indeed a STRONG record. I'm really happy with it! I have my preferred tracks, but right now there is no songs i'd need to skip. Something I can't say for his first 3 albums. Gut reaction ratings (in the context of his solo career, and subject to change): I'm Not Giving Up Tonight (9/10) Pretty Boy (7/10) Dead To The World (10/10) Open The Door, See What You Find (7/10) Trying To Find A World That's Been And Gone Pt. 1 (8/10) Easy Now (8/10) Council Skies (6/10) There She Blows! (9/10) Love Is A Rich Man (8/10) Think Of A Number (8/10) Another absolutely great Gallagher release to enjoy  (for me anyway) |

Every version that ends up on the final print of the discs is always a different mix, but my ears don't decieve me. It is in fact a different mix, NOT better but slightly improved with a bit more resonance (given that it's a cleaner rip rather than the usual YT upload). |

Just listened to the album for the first time (Excluding the singles already released)
First listen - Really like it. I've gone off Noel a bit as i couldnt stand the dad-dance stuff he previously did. Anything guitar based I like.
Some of the bonus songs are superb, obviously Live Forever, an updated version of Don't Stop and We'll get there in the end. His cover of Mind games is superb.
Enjoying the album tracks, some need a few listens but glad this is not an experimental album. Back to his roots, lots of great guitar based tunes
I've pre ordered the deluxe version, not so bothered about the instrumental tracks or the remixes but still some good tunes on the bonus side.
Really enjoying this so far

Mind Games is fantastic, but honestly I find myself much more excited by his own songs.

I'm Not Giving Up Tonight (David Holmes Remix) is also really great. I think the original song can stand very well on its own feet however, but this is a really nice-to-have alternative, complementing the former rather than improving on it.
Might keep some of the WBTM-or-nothing people happy too.This remix is better than all the EP title tracks (Black Star Dancing, This Is The Place etc), and some of WBTM itself tbh.
Not really feeling the Pet Shop Boys remix, not my thing.

God I love archiving recordings. Edit: Yikes! Almost forgot the link to LWTUA. Edit 2: Lemme know if y'all really want Council Skies live up there as well. Don't feel like adding that one. Musically, this is amazing. Vocally, he should have either sang it higher and the music played accordingly. Noel doesn't have Ian Curtis' low vocal range and this sounds weird like an in-between Noel's vocal range and Ian's vocal range. |
