10 second clip. Chill out people, it may be brilliant, may be shit.
Personally, looking forward more to the other songs, this sounds Noel by numbers. Which is not bad, but we have a lot of that...

that forum never fails to deliver. 10 seconds of a song and people calling it the best thing since sliced bread. Personally I'm not a fan of sliced bread. I find it very generic and uninteresting. Yeah I get what you are saying but I just had a 10 second taster test of this new bread and it’s amazing, it’s like it was baked in a traditional clay fired oven by the old baker who made the best bread in the village back in 1794/95. I can not wait to put a fat wedge of unsalted butter on each slice when I finally get the whole loaf. 🤪

Ima be real for a second, not politically correct. I'm a 24 year old guy, got lucky in the gene lottery, life has afforded me the chance to walk around like a cocky fucker that can be confident about most things and get away with it. I do not subscribe to western masculinity but I can't be far from being a poster for it. I am not the type to cry my way through La La Land. But....I am fighting back my tears here... this music shatters through me like glass and I feel the chord is strikes is explicit and exposed. Noel's brutal honesty, defiant hope and the passion in that piece of music.... the chilling vocal that swells and ascends with crescendo and with all of Noel's defiance and then softly suddenly swoons back down to a fall, with his sense of loss, it brings back so much affection and respect man to man for this guy... Brings about such a personal and introspective moment for me, hearing this. I remember where i was when I first heard the demo of 'everybody's on the run and he sang hang in there love....you've got to hold on. I remember sitting on a bus having lost everything and listening to who put the weight of the world on my shoulders. I And I'll remember this. I'm not even calling it a clip, because to me that is music. It's that the captures that caring part of being a man that nobody ever captures well. That feeling of wanting to protect something but being in the middle of waves that are bigger than you and crashing around you, but being defiant, stupidly brave, bold, stubborn about fighting through it. He captures it so well, elegant but so flawed in the quivering vocal...knowing the context of him as a family man caring for his wife and kids really helps understand where he's at. Noel....if there's one bonus song like this on every shit album full of dad rock 'sexy' bravado you make, from now on, I'll be privileged to hear it. This feels moving. I love it because it's not specific, it's those big ideas. He's talking about Love itself, the biggest concept there is, floating, somewhere in the water as if it's a little thing that is lost and in need of saving... and he the lone man will go out there to try and rescue it because otherwise he'd rather die on those waves looking. What a fucking beautiful thought to capture, what a beautiful way to put it. I am so moved and have so much respect for this tune and some newly rediscovered respect for this man. THAT is fucking biblical. That is music. Don't get me wrong, I love Liam absolutely to the this level....it's just that this is the half of Oasis that was always Noel's and was truly untouchable. One day...in his old age, maybe he'll release an album of only these songs ... one can hope. I feel so excited just to have this one right now. Thanks for reading all Also - in advance - anyone who wants to tell me it's only 10 seconds can go wrap up that thought like a little ball and stick it up their own candy asses. Because those 10 seconds do something to the people who are listening, so that's music. I didn't care when songbird was 2 minutes, I don't care that I only listen to the outro on "When I'm In Need', don't care that Noel's version of live forever isn't the album version....I don't care about that stuff - surely with music it's just about the feeling you get. It doesn't matter what's official or what's complete, this clip is amazing. Let people enjoy it Christ. Made it half way through the post before vomiting. And that's expected, like someone raving about a girl you feel nothing for. Doesn't take much of an open mind to realise that something can be moving for someone and not for you though, enjoy holding your vomit while some people actually resonate with the music thats created. If you can't feel happy for people that like noel or liams music, on an oasis fan forum, then you are misguided as fuck

I've just now heard the clip, and while I'm trying to maintain my expectations, that is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard in quite sometime. It feels so genuine to the point where I almost can't take it. Ok, no more gushing over this, I'm gonna hold back my excitement for the full thing, but Jesus.. what a clip.

Can anyone make out all the words? I'm getting.. clip 1 But I'm sure the night is slipping through my hands I fall into the sea like the empire built on sand (can't make out the next 2 lines as Noel speaks over them) clip 2 Let the storm rage I die on the waves But I will not rest While the love lies dead in the water Dead in the water In the water

Seriously, this is one of his best songs ever! That may seem like a pretty crazy thing to say but I haven't got this same spiritual type feeling since possibly SCYHO for me personally, and I think that's easily better than that. Perfection, that's it.

It's up there as one of his best.
It serves the album well as a closer....even if it is a bonus track

Noel should hire the engineer at RTE if he ever makes that acoustic lp, he's the unlikely MVP of this tune, the echo captures both the intimacy and spacey-ness of the stadium soundcheck versions we heard that were so special like if i had a gun / dying of the light. The "It's drippin in my ear" line did remind me of this however:

So it's just me who thinks it's a Noel by numbers acoustic tune?
It's bland. No wonder he had forgotten he wrote it. At best it's "nice".

I need his next record to be this. Stripped down acoustic and piano. Record it once, no fuss and no over production shit he likes to pile on. This sounds amazing and is the first song from WBTM that has given me chills and made me excited. Go figure.

Go figure. yes, that's what I've been saying. his voice fits best these type of songs and are more pleasing in sound rather than HM or Fly, which sound too forced and uninspired
