Andy's great. Brilliant guitarist and solid guy.
I'm very happy that Ride are having a second youth as they're one of my favorite bands.

Andy wasted his career in Oasis, he's so much more than a session bassist. In the end, I guess money talks.

Suppose it comes down to whether you'd rather write a couple of tunes for one of the biggest British bands of the last 30 years, tour around the world playing to millions in the most iconic venues and make shit loads of money or play 1,000 capacity venues and be critically acclaimed.

No bad feelings apparently from Andy's side, against either brother. Quite supportive I'd say! http://instagr.am/p/BZ5GeDWj-so I think it's great for Andy that that Ride reunion has taken off so well. And I have to say the new Ride album is actually pretty good

I just thought it's a bit odd that an actual former Oasis member has to order his LG and NG vinyls from Amazon like your average Joe. I mean, he could probably call either of them on their mobile and complain in case they weren't delivered in time.

Andy wasted his career in Oasis, he's so much more than a session bassist. In the end, I guess money talks. Did he? Worth remembering that he was in Hurricane #1 just before Oasis, they weren't exactly setting the world alight. If he had left a well respected band like Ride to play bass for Oasis, then i'd understand your point. I'd also say that Shoegaze music has become a bit more popular again over the last few years. A lot of people i know that weren't old enough to know much about Ride have ended up getting into them through newer bands like DIIV. So i'd say the timing was right for the Ride reunion they have had anyway.

You would think so right? - I won't name drop but a musician friend of mine had to order the Japanese imports of his own album because he couldn't get hold of any for free. Seems ridiculous. That said, maybe Andy wants to buy it to show support. I would buy any of my friends music as a gesture of my support, no matter if they need the money or not.

Ride are playing very well at the moment. This topic is a non-starter.

I won't be surprised if Weather Diaries is better than WBTM. It's better than AYW as far as I'm concerned.

The riff is cool but the chorus is shitty.

Ride is having a career renaissance, he's back on good terms with Mark and enjoying making music. He'd be a backing musician with Noel and not have the creative reins. There was a distinct reason Andy joined Oasis. Ride had folded, he as in a musical rut, and he wanted to make some money. There's just no reason now for him to be "Who the fuck is Andy Bell?" again. Even if Oasis ever reunites, I expect it to be someone other than Andy.
Ride is legitimately one of the best live acts in the world right now. I saw them back in '15 (Terminal 5, NYC) shortly after they came back and they were great then. I saw them again earlier this year and they're even better. Even if you've never heard a second of their material or know very little, GO.
