I'm liking the positive, upbeat tone so far from the 3 songs we've heard now from the album. I hope the whole album is full of them, with no hint of a downbeat track. I am not a fan of Noel doing sad, depressing melancholy stuff. I much prefer happy Noel music.
This could be his most positive sounding album since......no prizes for guessing which album I am going to say.

Since it's a song we've heard on the trailer I listened to it. And its a weird song. First of all,the verses sounds like a chorus. And the chorus sound like a bridge. The verses are way too much repetitive. I mean, its same lyrics over and over again with a word change. The melody on the verse and the chorus is really good and I like the guitar effect. And the beautiful girl on the keyboard is a great adition to the band. But the song overall is a bit boring to me because of the verse. Its nice anyway, but too much repetitive. I hope it doesn't sound inflated in the record because if its all noise plus he's stuck on the same 'The one I love' the entire song it will probably be really bad. Hope it gets better. Anyway, must say that its the more Noel-esque song we've heard from the album. Sounds like a retro version of YKWCGB. Guitar sounds a bit like The Strokes and the drums are alright. With Fort Knox,Holy Mountain and She Taught Me How To Fly out my hopes on the album are a bit low tbh. I was expecting something different but with that cover and the bit from It's A Beautiful World I thought that we would have some spacey psychodelic rock. We got a 70s like sound that sounds alright but not what I was hoping to heard actually. Still waiting the album because I love Noel's music as much as I can. But I really got a bad feeling and I feel really really sceptical about this one.

There are no verses, the song opens with the chorus (classic Beatles trick).

He says he didn't write songs before going in the studio this time. You hear it in the material right? Sounds like a half finished idea to me. I'll get my parka and leave the room Noel

I'll get my parka and leave the room Noel I wish he would have taken a bit more time with the lyrics, because otherwise I like the song. Feels like the lyrics on this album are the first ones he came up with, and he never reconsidered them.

Never mind the scissors, the most alarming thing is that flag on his amp.
Hoping he ditches that eye sore for the tour.

I must say I read the reviews on here first and I was expecting the worse BUT I actually like it and lets face it, it's live and stripped down and I am pretty certain the LP version will be far more interesting and layered/textured.
I really like it, catchy and nothing wrong with it at all for me.

I love it already. Catchy as fuck.
And considering Q didn't rate this in their review, implying this was the weakest track on the album, this must be one hell of an album.

Really disappointed again. Sounds like it's on a loop. Nothing in it is interesting to me apart from the cool drums.

I haven't listened to anything in full apart from HM because I don't want to spoil it, but I've been thinking that for a while too

I think the album proper will make for a great listening experience, no doubt. The trailer and the tracks released so far are full of interesting ideas and layers that you can discover over multiple listens. But the same qualities that make WBTM an attractive album make the live performances lackluster. A bit like if the Beatles had played Sgt. Pepper live with 1967-quality live gear.
