For One So Young should have been track 7 on Standing. You probably also think If We Shadows should have replaced Stand By Me on Be Here Now.

I'm probably the only one, but right now I prefer Holy Mountain. Me too.

The spread of this poll is a lot more top heavy, 6-9 range, than Holy Mountain.

The spread of this poll is a lot more top heavy, 6-9 range, than Holy Mountain. yet it's still polarizing

And what instrument is making that magnificent wavy noise that really makes the song? Is it a synth?

A solid 8. The only thing missing is some kind of sólo(whether it is guitar, horns or a choir of voices singing) or someone singing a verse or two.
Wondering what the two wenesday tracks sound like now...
Hit like if you like, please suscribe and please don't cry. 😂

Was a 6 on first listen, still a 5-6 after few listens, good opener, shit single, lacks something to be really good i'm trying ti figure out what.
Still a good result considering HM was a strong 2/10 for me, i kind want to hear it again when i was legit dying to shut down my phone while having to listen to hm.
But ffs noel try to figure out what to release as a single to hype the people

I went for 7, love the first one and half minutes things get worse after the bell but I like it over all.

My wife’s reaction:
It sounds like we’re back in a taxi in Egypt - fair point.
Noel needs to get himself together - unfair point?
Stumble you might fall - fair point.

Not surprised the usual luddites hate it (you know who), but this is exactly what we needed from Noel.
Sounds like something he'd do with the Chemical Brothers. The descending bassline from 1.50 is heavy and proper swaggering, . Really ballsy music this, has the psychedelic vibes of Amorphous Androgynous but the urgency and vibrancy of electronic music. Great mix.

I gotta say after 10/15 it's really growing on me. I ranked it 6/10, I can give a solid 7. No masterpiece, it's clear, but that bassline is badass and the production is great. I just think it lacks a bit of punch and it's quite repetitive. I would have put a guitar riff in it, à la Fuckin' in the Bushes. I think the track would have benefited from it a lot. I want the fucking distorted guitars man, it's my obsession as a guitarist I guess

After a few listens it started to tire me. Reminds me of DOYS - it sounds better than it trully is.

7.5/10 take out the ringing bell sound and you've got a 9/10. really dig the groove - looks like this is Noel's FITB

9/10 as album opener, 7/10 as a song on its own. I voted 8/10

It started really promising but it really went nowhere, guess it's an ok opener. I wish he'd just drop Beautiful World already....

My only gripe with this song is the bell, i like the song but i can´t listen to it many times in a row due to it. I was getting a headache when i first tried to do that because of it. Should be a bit lower in the mix but the vibe overall is good.
