I'm just glad Noel's making immense and fun music again.
I'm not saying it sounds like Be Here Now, but it was the last time his music sounded this massive.

You mean the best track Noel has written since 1997? That track? Some people here are crazy. Best Noel written song since 1997? I would change best to worse. If you think this is his worst since 1997, then you definitely must be one of the crazy ones.

This is amazing! It's like a modern day suped up Teotihuacan! Brillant. This may be my favorite thing Noel's ever done outside Oasis.

Okay this is how I see it
I actually really like the vibe of the song and oddly reassures me that the album will be a good one..with some really interesting stuff on it. It doesn’t work for me standalone.

Very split views on this one it seems.
I can totally agree with the negative comments on Holy Mountain as even though I quite like it, the muddiness of the production is out there to be criticised.
I don’t think this is the case here, it’s just a question of taste.
For me this is far more interesting than FITB but if I know this forum I would presume the masses will disagree???

The "Heys" remind me of the score at the end of Ali. The "oooohihoooo, Hey Hey" are to me a classic Noel melody/moment. The female vocals are probably my favorite part of the track, which I love. There are a lot of layers to absorb on this one. It takes a few listens.

I can understand not liking Holy Mountain, but if you dislike this then I know we're not on the same page.

it's moody, I like it. Sounds like a cool album opener. Miles better than HM for sure!

I doubt that Noel is the sole composer/author. He's probably just the only one who gets credits
