Liam completely won the chart battle i wonder why all the noel fans went quiet about WBTM tanking so quick It has sold the same or a bit more than CY. Good but not great if you compare it to Liam. But if you compare it to Noel's solo carrer ir isnt that bad yo have the same amount of albums sold as the previous one, especially if you are as old as Noel.

I don't care about the charts anymore. It's not like either of them are really lighting it up anymore. I was really disappointed in the quality of the songs we got. Hopefully the next one will be better...

Liam completely won the chart battle i wonder why all the noel fans went quiet about WBTM tanking so quick I wouldn't say it tanked but it definitely didn't do as impressively as As You Were did. However his first 2 albums destroyed Beady Eye's numbers. However I think Liam played the PR game far better than Noel this time around (it's almost as If Noel played into Liam hands with his Parker Monkeys insult and how anyone that didn't like his new album weren't real music fans or whatever he said). I do remember from the Beady Eye days that when their albums failed to live up to Noels we had no end of morons trolling the forums telling us how bad they were. Strange how quiet the forum is by comparison this time around. Especially the Chart threads.

Officially retired. Not true at all. and who is "officially retired" then? I don't really care for the charts. Never interested in it. I bought multiple formats for Who Built The Moon, all format of singles. I bought a deluxe box set of As You Were, also a CD, Japanese edition of CD, Wall of Glass and pre-ordered "I Have All I Need" single yesterday. Liam made a great come back with his first ever solo album and I'm still loving the album. I was happy to see him again last month and I was happy to see Noel again last week. I'm happy that both Gallaghers are making music and playing gigs. Chart battle? Who won the "battle"? I'm not bothered at all.

However his first 2 albums destroyed Beady Eye's numbers. The scores are not especially comparable because they’re playing such different games now. Liam - signed to a major label - partnered with some pro songwriters - did every promo opportunity he could find - toured a show as similar to an Oasis gig as possible ...and boy did it work. I take nothing away from the guy - I didn’t think it was possible, and he’s stormed it. But all 4 of those things are things Noel doesn’t want to do, and doesn’t have to do, so he doesn’t. Numerically, it doesn’t work out as well as Liam’s spectacular year, but as their approaches were so different it’s hardly worth comparing them.

Also, I'm sure Noel can live off his royalties very well.

I think MOON is doing exactly what it should be doing. Probably doing even better than expected since it’ll pass Chasing Yesterday. I figure with each passing album, sales will dip for both solo careers. It’s only natural in this industry.

I think its really good that it hasn't happened in reverse though, it was uttery miserable in the Beady Eye sections.

Would you say Chasing Yesterday failed to live up to chart expectations? I don’t think anyone had that feel at all and MOON is on the same pace. In the year 2018 you take those numbers and run with it. If MOON shifted only 70,000 units then I could see your point.

My last point is that MOON is actually being soundly beaten by As You Were and no one's been trolling the Noel forum, whereas in the Beady Eye days those forums were rough as shit with trolls coming in to tell us just how great Noel was. By comparison the behaviour when Liam is doing better is a lot more civil. I think it's pretty obvious from everything else I said in that post I wasn't dumping on Noel but these are the facts.

I really don't like WBTM and AYW is selling better, but there's no need for trolling. We are all Oasis fans! Just enjoy with the music. WBTM is selling good, nothing more nothing less. Beady eye's albums, especially BE and although i really enjoyed them, tanked in sales&album charts. If someone "called" oasis fans were trolling about that...well, they are not fans at all. I have lost right now any interest in Noel's music&gigs, but i know that in the near future he will return with great songs as he always did.
