WBTM sales should be around 230,500 now (189,000 in 2017 + 41,500 in 2018). Wow, remember when Oasis would sell that in a week!? X

X Please don't diminish Noel's achievements, he's worked VERY hard on the cosmic pop extravaganza. Spread love, not hate. Love and happiness is revolutionary these days didn't you know.

They're still good numbers. Ordinarily it would be considered a really successful album commercially but in the context of a Liam v Noel grudge match (rightly or wrongly) it's a bit less impressive.

Album went #1 and is on pace to eclipse Chasing Yesterday. Plus he seemed to have really enjoyed the new process. His music finally sounds fresh and different. About time.

It went to #1 for sure..for me personaly..it isn't an album that I will crave to listen to everyday or once a week. There is a couple of tracks I love...but for me..that's it. I guess you love it or hate it. Different strokes for different folks.👍

Noel backtracks all the time on things, and he's hardly going to admit now if he thinks it's been a mistake. Personally I think the album is crap and hope he goes back to writing at home, as I don't really feel the production is much better than Chasing Yesterday which he produced himself.

Noel can say shit one day and go in a completely different direction the next. I for one believe him on this topic. I see no resentment in Noel working with Holmes. Its selling better than the last and the joy you see him performing live is refreshing. He digs his new material even if you don't.

and its a beautiful world 12" is number 1 in vinyl chart..... Probably a lot of people just buying it for their collection. Noel knows that and that's why he released three different editions. Btw, I bought it and don't even like the song... It's his best album in ages and he should definitely do another one with Holmes It's clearly his worst. No one needs another lazy cosmic pop collab album...

It's his best album in ages and he should definitely do another one with Holmes Given the number of Noel album cycles remaining is probably limited, I’d be quite happy with one more with Holmes as long as there’s also one more “normal” one.

The great irony of this Holmes project is it is still very “normal”. Holy Mountain, Beautiful World, She Taught Me How To Fly, Black & White Sunshine, If Love Is The Law and The Man Who Built The Moon are incredibly straight forward. It’s just a sonic facelift which Noel and Oasis were long overdue for. Even Be Careful What You Wish For is traditional. It’s swampy but direct. That literally the entire album.

Fort Knox is the only song that’s approaching being out there. If sounding a bit like Massive Attack or Primal Scream in 1997 can be considered out there. The press release was surely a piss take: “tracks blipping with ethereal, electronic experimentation” “a cut and paste adventure” “an album for the apocalypse” “It’s A Beautiful World bubbles with progressive, ambient electronica” X

The experimental talk is very humorous to anyone that listens to anything more than Oasis, Stone Roses and The Charlatans.
Noel thinks plonking a very out of place bit of French where a decent guitar solo (or an anything solo) could have gone is his safety net from the criticism of the songs actually just not being that good.
Oh they dont get it, there's a french bird on it. I've even got an annoying alarm clock and GIRLS singing. wow.
