If the chart was still just sales Holy Mountain would have spent around 7/8 weeks or so in the top 40. Stop moving the goalposts bro. Dance, dance if you do that dance. If it was the 90s HM would be No.1 for 70 weeks!

Holy Mountain was number #11 in the sales only chart when it charted at #31. Wall of Glass was number #4 in the sales only chart when it charted at #21

No streaming back in the days, only sales. If the chart was still just sales Holy Mountain would have spent around 7/8 weeks or so in the top 40. It would have ranked higher but tanked earlier as streaming is a long term business whereas sales are only long term for a few mega sellers.

Noel has been outside the top 200 in streaming pretty much throughout. It is the sales keeping him as high as he is. He is currently #31 in the sales only chart, so would still be top 40 after 11 weeks of release if streaming didn't count.

Your criticism is incorrect, as streaming boosts his steady presence in the overall charts ( compared to a pre-Streaming world in times of the last Oasis singles!). Like I said. Because I'm right and you interpreted my posting wrong

Because other artists are less "physical" than Noel (who aims at an older audience) they stream much more, thats why he's not one of the top streaming artists. Doesn't change the fact that the last Oasis singles had no streaming boost (in the overall charts) to compensate declining sales figures after release.

Down one place to #11 this week. Michael Buble's Christmas album went ahead of it.

I have to say I'm surprised how well this is selling. I expected it to sell pretty well on the first two weeks but then drop off. Pretty impressive in this day and age.

It is a great album as well. I scratched a few tunes off as pop fodder but they’ve pretty much all grew or are continuing to grow on me. Hope Happy Jack stays on this path with Holmes etc.
