I think he will have another number 1 album easy. But Liam will sells more this time.Thats great because noel will push himself even more in the next album, and he is one of the best songwriters of all time so great times are coming. I don't think he needs Liam to sell records for him to push himself. He changed his entire way of working, took a chance, and put more effort into this album than he's probably done since SOTSOG. He did that while having his own successful albums. Noel is pushing himself right now on his own accord. I really think people overrate how much the actions of each brother affects the other.

Noel was outselling the #40 track on iTunes yesterday by a factor of 7:1. Based on rough logic, he has already sold enough to be sales top 40 in this weeks chart.
Streams are not doing as well however - was in the 80s yesterday. Still fancy a scraped top 40 however.

It looks like he'll have two days worth of a top 10. He's also #1 on Amazon. If he could improve to a top 40 in streaming, hold that for a couple of days, then he might be able to pull out a top 40 or maybe a top 30 on the singles charts.

Very poor result here. And #12 on itunes. If his streaming continues drecreasing in this way he´ll not be top 40 for sure

Liam cares far more about what Noel's doing than Noel cares about what Liam is doing. Noel is going down a new creative route he needs to go down, and that's great. I think Noel's album will sell well as usual, and with Holy Mountain and perhaps one more catchy single, could outsell Chasing Yesterday.
Holy Mountain is gonna do well. As mentioned, it's record of the week on radio x. Radio 2 will probably end up a-listing it, if not this week, then next. That alone will bump up his success majorly! That's what's been happening with Moz's Spent the Day in Bed.

Luckily for him, he's been in the top 15 of ITunes for 3 consecutive days and is still #1 on Amazon, I believe. I think it'll be close.

3 straight days for Noel in the top 15 on Itunes, and 3 straight days for him at #1 on Amazon.
His issue is Spotify at the moment. If his Spotify numbers were doing the work then he'd be gunning for a top 20, even on a short week. His management has to get him on playlists.

Prob has no time left to make any sort of impact this week. It’s almost Thursday.

Also it still has not been included in any of my automatically generated playlists (I mean the playlists Spotify generates automatically for each user based on what they listened previously: Release Radar, etc). I guess that may be related with the day it was released because those playlists get updated weekly. I guess that and the lack of promotion because of the southamerica tour may be part of the problem. Actually, outside UK only diehard fans know it has been released, while in previous albums there were at least short press snippets/interviews all over the world

Being on no playlists on Spotify the week of release is a major cock up by the label.

It IS on 1 playlist. Saw it ended up on some sort of Energy Rock playlist or something like that.

Not surprising. On a short week with almost no promotion. Thanks for finding this, I couldn't find it while I was on my phone.

He should have done this the week before Liam's album. This way he could have done a full week of sales/streams, did more interviews and I don't know, actually release the video at the same time as the song?!?!?!?!?! Is that too much to ask.

I think they wanted something that would be exactly 3 weeks from the next single. Plus, if he released a week before Liam's, we're talking about over a month between the two singles and we're back to complaining about how length of time between singles.

I really get the feeling that Noel doesn't care about how much this one sells. Neither do I, to be honest. I'm loving the music, and that'll do me.

I'd like to think Its A Beautiful World will get the full court press by Noel and management. We know its got a video. We know its his favorite. We know it'll probably represent the album more.

It's also very telling the absolute lack of activity in the 'In the Press' section of the forum I fail to see a strategy behind this release timing and promotion apart from maybe a small (anticipated) profit from Liams activities...
