I’d personally go with Holy Mountain, I like TDOYAM tho. Not a fan of ITHOTM.
Could be argued first two are the weakest tracks off the albums.

TDOYAM is my favorite, but I like the other two as well.

The Death Of You And Me, although I probably would have gone with Everybody's On The Run as a leadsingle.

The Death Of You And Me, although I probably would have gone with Everybody's On The Run as a leadsingle. It was glorious hearing it for the first time at the start of the album, though. Remember waiting up until midnight on the Sunday (Monday) for it to drop.

I really don't understand the dislike for In The Heat Of The Moment. It's a really good pop song!

Absolute non-contest. TDOYAM by quite a gulf.

Personally Im not sure I agree with any of the first single choices... I'd go with EOTR and Riverman to start off with a bang. And Im pretty sure id go with something else than Holy Mountain...
Anyway, out Of those Ill go with TDOYAM

TDOYAM was, imo, a brillant way to start off Noel's solo career - it's different enough from Oasis, great melodically, and it has that genius brass solo. Not sure anything on NGHFB is better.
ITHOTM has never really grown on me that much. It's not all that surprising melodically, the woo hoos don't fit that well...I still believe Do the Damage would have been the better single; I certainly like it more.
HM is my favorite so far. Granted, we've only known it for two days, but it's certainly much better than ITHOTM for me.

I just have to laugh as a certain knowledge and skill with song title acronyms is essential for functioning in these parts...
I voted for TDOYAM but HM is a close second. I remember being a bit disappointed with TDOYAM at first because it seemed to be a rewrite of TIOBI, though now I prefer TDOYAM and appreciate the differences in the two songs.

I wasn't a Noel fan when TDOYAM came out, but was a fan when both ITHOTM and Holy Mountain were released, so it's not a fair comparison. But I doubt TDOYAM would've got me as excited for HFB as Holy Mountain did for Who Built the Moon!

The Death Of You And Me is one the best song he's ever written. Great production too (that fanfare). In The Heat Of The Moment is "shit i have to write a single" tune and it shows. Sounds very unnatural. Holy Mountain is fresh and fun.

Poor IHOTM. Everyone loves TDOYAM ans it has so many votes. I wish I voted for you. You're not that bad. Even Albarn's na-na-na's don't bother me.

Jokes aside, I genuinely can't decide, they're all great in different ways.

The Death Of You and Me. When I first heard it, I just heard TIOBI part 2 and thought it was good, not amazing. But for the next few weeks until What A Life came out, I couldn't stop listening to it.

1. TDOYAM
2. ITHOTM. Don't like the na na nas but the rest of the song is quite alright.
3. Holy Mountain. Not a bad song but ït's nowhere of being the best solo-Noel song for me. I'm glad people are enjoying it more than me, though.

As some have pointed out, The Death Of You And Me got slated on here upon release and was dismissed by many as a second-rate Idle ripoff. And now look! So who knows what you all will think of the new one in 5 years time...

But I doubt TDOYAM would've got me as excited for HFB as Holy Mountain did for Who Built the Moon! Me neither, but I remember hearing TDOYAM on the radio when it came out and I thought it was kind of cool and sounded a bit like a dark evil circus. Me becoming a fan happened about a year later though.
