This won't be the worst track on the album. It just can't. Because then the record would be better than Definitely Maybe and we know that's not going to happen. As I posted before, Holy Mountain could be to Who Built The Moon? what Dream On was to NGHFB or ITHOTM was to Chasing Yesterday. Those are definitely not the worst tracks on their respective albums, and Holy Mountain is better than both. Fuck's sake, take all the seats and have a talk with yourself. Still love the tune, loved it live, the video made me cringe. Noel's never looked this uncool before. ?

How would this being the worst track on the album make it better than DM in any way? I'm really baffled by what that implies. The second part of my post was just a general comment, not directly meant as a reply to you. Should have posted it separately.

Pow, video at last! Noel dancing, wow. That was pretty sexual man, I need to loosen my tie after watching that video. He keeps doing things he's never done before - moving/dancing while playing guitar, holding the mic, making music with less guitars. Interesting! I wonder what the catalyst was for this change of heart...

That was an exaggeration and my point was that I really, really doubt Holy Mountain will be the worst track on the album. I would be really surprised is it not at least in the top 5. There's no way any of the new songs are going to approach the level of Live Forever or Slide Away as I wrote above, but I think Holy Mountain is better than at least three tracks on Definitely Maybe.

At least this song is better than that awful Damon/Noel 'collaboration'. The biggest disappointment ever! Some people gave this song 0 or 1 points, but WGTP is much much worse than HM. The whole album lacks inspiration! At least Noel's having fun now and doesn't do dad-dance in the background and pretends that he plays guitar.

Do you think Noels been given tips on little quirks to do as a frontman? Dont know what to make of all that shit.
Anyway, the girl is cool as fuck. I love the different sounds like that but it doesnt digsuise the song which unfortunately just isnt good in my opinion.
Theres still enough here to have me excited for the album though. Isnt like Noel ever picks the best song as lead single.

Can i just ask why people are trying to compare it to the worst songs on Oasis best album to try and dignify it?
Angels is better than Digsys Dinner. Is Robbie Williams better than Oasis now? Whats everyones point here?

No, it's not. And Digsy's Dinner is a riot live.

That's the first time I've seen Noel grab a microphone like that. Looks like he's having fun and doesn't give a shit now (in a good way).

Fanbases have some Jacob's Ladder shit going on with them, don't they? I swear I've been reading the same "initial reactions" for ten years...

I listened to this again this morning and I think the only reason I'm giving this song a chance is because of Noel. If this was any other artist I would have listened once, gone WTF and never listened again. From the small part I've heard from It's a Beautiful World that sounds like something I will like much more.

Well that's cool - just seen the live version and Gem is playing the Firebird. We met up like 12 hours before the flight and he wasn't taking that guitar on tour. Perhaps our chat about that 6 string planted a seed!

I like the Holy Mountain video, but watching Noel was kinda awkward. This video made me realise once again how cool Liam is. I'm not slagging off Noel, I guess he is not any worse than most frontman out there, but Liam on the other hand is just outta this world cool, his presence and charisma are still unmatched to this day imo.
