Do we have to compare this song to Liam's album? No, they're completely different and I like both. I'm with you there - I really like As You Were, as an album and as a collection of some really good songs; I also love Holy Mountain. Having those two at the same time is a blessing: one the more classic rock n roll record with good tunes, the other (apparently) the evolution many people have always wanted from Noel. Finally someone speaks sense. |

nah i'm not feeling it...its just noise to me,reminds me of ricky martin!defo a skipper when comes to listening to the album,the clips on the album were so much better than this

Posting this again, cause while everyone talks about Ricky Martin, HM is a huge ripoff of that song. Plastic Bertrand is considered a huge joke in french speaking coutries. A one man hit wonder who did'nt even sing on this tune (there was a lawsuit between him and his producer, who is the real singer on it). The brass, the chords, the singing, the oooohoooo, everything is here. Erm, it's actually not "considered a huge joke in french speaking countries". Absolutely not. It's a classic from the late 70s and most people love it, dance to it, sing to it. It's huge in the post-Beatles generation. I was not talking about the tune, which is great, but the "singer". Plastic Bertrand has 0 credibility in the music business. |

I absolutely love the music we have received from both the Gallaghers' new releases so far and my avatar is of my favourite team who are for once exciting and good. Positive vibes all around. GOOD TIMES. LET'S GOOOOO. Go leafs Go!!! We are going to be a powerhouse for years to come. Just named my cat Marner. Lol. Great times indeed. 5-4 leafs over Blackhawks tonight. I love Holy Mountain. I think Noel is a closet fan too Like I've said before - Liam likes Living' da vida Loca ans this songs doesn't sound like SB at all. But Ricky should be glad - at least his name is being mentioned again. |

I don't understand why it's not acceptable for an Oasis fan, to not like this song and possibly the album. I'm hoping and really wanting to like his album but if I don't then I don't... and if people don't like it just as some didn't like LG'S album, doesn't mean they have to have their oasis fan card revoked. I think that it's absolute bullshit to say, "if you're an oasis fan then you have to be happy that we're getting an album from Noel and Liam"..
It's music, everyone is entitled to their opinions and interpretations.. doesn't mean u have to agree or their wrong and ur right or vice versa.

It's decent enough as a first single, nothing earth shatteringly out there and special but will probably be great in a live setting.
I can't wait for people's reactions when the full album is released though, based off a 50+ page thread for one song!

Everyone has their opinion, what you like/love doesn't have to be loved by others. I don't have to like/love everything Noel and Liam do and what they release. The thing is that people start a childish argument like a kid with divorced parents and it gets messy when they start to insult each other (I'm not saying this to you, but in general). A while ago somebody misunderstood me like "if you prefer Liam, you're not a real Oasis fan" which I never said and I never meant. Oasis were/are/will always be one of my 3 life time bands and I just can't pick one of Gallaghers, but I don't have to convince or force anybody to do same as me. We're all here for Gallaghers and music. It will be a dead shame if we keep "fight" and insult each other. Hope I won't be misunderstood by this post again. |
