Noel's "Bring the Light" moment... I'm one of those few people who think that BtL is an OK song.

Do we have to compare this song to Liam's album? No, they're completely different and I like both. Great to see you posting again, Cast. Also I cancelled my order for the deluxe CD and a vinyl because I'm gonna pick them up on the release date as I don't see my order from official store will arrive on release date (same as Liam's album). I've pre-ordered the picture disc via official store again as it's exclusive for official store. and my friend in England has pre-ordered HMV exclusive white vinyl with a orange single for me. I love Fort Knox and I'm really excited for his 3rd album, as much as I was/am for Liam's.

Posting this again, cause while everyone talks about Ricky Martin, HM is a huge ripoff of that song. Plastic Bertrand is considered a huge joke in french speaking coutries. A one man hit wonder who did'nt even sing on this tune (there was a lawsuit between him and his producer, who is the real singer on it). The brass, the chords, the singing, the oooohoooo, everything is here. ok. I heard it. Noel is a fucking inmoral.

A one man hit wonder who did'nt even sing on this tune (there was a lawsuit between him and his producer, who is the real singer on it). The brass, the chords, the singing, the oooohoooo, everything is here. Erm, it's actually not "considered a huge joke in french speaking countries". Absolutely not. It's a classic from the late 70s and most people love it, dance to it, sing to it. It's huge in the post-Beatles generation. No need to invent stuff just because you dont like it. As for "The brass, the chords, the singing, the oooohoooo, everything is here. " well Ca Plane Pour Moi is a mix of Beach Boyz and Sex Pistols with hints of the Clash, so it's not like they invented thats style. That kinda production was fairy common in the late 70s. Roxy Music and Bowie are more responsible for the kind of sound than Pastic Bertrand. Ca Plane Pour moi is already a rip-off of many songs and styles from the 70S, and it's not even the original version. It is an adaptation of Elton Motello - Jet Boy Jet Girl, which is the original song by the same songwriter. Holy Mountain is much more inspired by that version. All in all, Noel managed to yet again make something new out of something old. Just like every other musician. That old debate about something sounding like something else is pretty silly. When's the last time we heard something completely new in rock n roll ? Probably 20 years ago.

Just heard it 2-3 times. It sounds like Kasabian b side. I get where he wanted to go but he failed. Hope the rest of album is better, that trailer is still promising

Do we have to compare this song to Liam's album? No, they're completely different and I like both. I'm with you there - I really like As You Were, as an album and as a collection of some really good songs; I also love Holy Mountain. Having those two at the same time is a blessing: one the more classic rock n roll record with good tunes, the other (apparently) the evolution many people have always wanted from Noel.

"She bangs, she bangs" Come on! We all know that it's Liam who loves Ricky, not Noel! Living' da vida Loca! Btw this comparison wore out it's welcome.

It reminds me of the Go Team. I think all their songs were made up of samples.

The song evokes the band from the early 70s Wizard. That's a good thing but this sounds updated.
