A HUGELY missed opportunity to not call this track 'She fell'.

Pros: The instrumental is absolutely incredible. Dance-y, varied, FUN, bold, energetic, beautifully produced. A carnival of smoky dance. Might be my favourite High Flying Birds instrumental ever. The chorus is catchier than ebola and as instantly fun as cocaine. Love it. It's short and to the point, which means I'm never bored listening to it and have it on repeat. IT'S JUST SO MUCH FUCKING FUN AND I CANNOT HEAR THAT CHORUS AND NOT SMILE. Cons:
Noel's voice does it's job, but only just. This isn't where his voice naturally sounds and Holmes has done a good job giving it some welly. The "my wife is an angel" type lyrics are getting a bit boring now. I respect how much he loves Sara, and I'm happy for him, but surely there are other things he could write about? I want the outro to be extended - keep the party going!

PROS: It's something different CONS: It's not great. Don't like Noel's vocal on it - just makes me cringe a bit! I'm still looking forward to the album, but I hope it's not full of these type of songs. Pros: Best thing he's done since BHN. Different to everything from the Mk2 Oasis shite, slightly different to his last 2 HFB albums, but back on form to the OTT Owen Morris BHN brickwall sound - YESSSS! Cons: Those who don't like BHN fast, poppy, upbeat, brickwalled tunes, but prefer shite from the Mk2 era will hate this, which makes it all the more sweeter!! I love Be Here Now and I think this new track is utter shite.

I do really like artists that change and evolve over time, I just don't like what Noel is going for on Holy Mountain, I find it very cheesy and not very authentic. The fact that we have gone from claims of ripping off some of the greatest bands of all time to Ricky Martin kind of indicates where we are with Noel right now. I want to love it but for the first time i feel sad that I don't love it unconditionally as I usually would with a Gallagher output. 5/10 Apart from the `She fell' bit, the rest is absolutely nothing like Ricky Martin. It's no different to that small part of the Step Out chorus sounding like Stevie Wonder's Uptight. And I rate this song 10/10!

I give it a light-to-decent 8, making it a certified tune.
Thanks.

Noel hasn't written a joyous song like this since he was in Mustique 20 years ago. How you can love BHN but not like this too beats me. They are cut from the same cloth.

Don't get the people who say this is mainstream?
It's one of the least mainstream things Noel has done...

That came across as a LITTLE condescending! I know where you're coming from, but for me, and many others on this board, that don't just listen to oasis/BE/Kasabian/last shadow puppets/arctic monkeys it's just...Not very good? In my opinion. I'm all for Noel sounding like Can, or doing stuff with the chemical bros, and the beyond the wizards sleeve stuff was one of the best things about chasing yesterday. But the track it reminds me of vocally? She Must Be One Of Us. Which is the worst Noel Gallagher song of all time (Maybe on a par with Oh Lord).

Apparently Holy Mountain doesn't sound "authentic". But a purchased song that otherwise would've been sold to the next X-Factor winner does. Ahh.

And I don't even agree that much that it is ripped but it's just funny at the comparison. Its like the complete opposite to Pure And Simple ripping off AATW.

If the Scissor Sisters released a tune like this people on here would laugh their bollocks off.

Only heard it through the one time - waiting for the family to wake up so I can play it loud for them - but I think it sounded great. When I first heard the melody of the verse, I thought there was a missed opportunity but then he ended up doing what I thought he should have done on the verse in the chorus, which makes more sense.
I'm not bothered by the Ricky Martin comparisons. Bag It Up had the same thing going on with It's Raining Men and many still felt that was one of the best (if not the best) songs off of DOYS.
Can't wait to hear the full album!

I'm guessing my wife will like this so I'll be able to listen to more Noel in the house which is a great thing.

I have listened to it multiple times and in my opinion it's total shit. I loved the 3 preview clips but this song is just awful. The melody is pretty bad and that is what I love about songs, the melody. I think Noel is totally whipped and he is writing dance tunes to please his wife. She did say that this and song #5 were her favorites and Noel said he knew the songs were good because his wife said they were amazing. She never did like Noel's rock songs. I don't mind a dance album from Noel if it has guitars and has good melodies. This song just doesn't do it at all. I don't think I'll ever listen to it again. Liam surely did release the better 1st single. This is like William Hung doing She Bangs by Ricky Martin. The people that like this must be Noel is god people or just lying to themselves.
