Holy Mountain reminds me of Step Out, i love it It's back to the sound that I always loved from Noel, but what we've never heard since the final footsteps and door banging firmly shut back in 1997. This song sits nicely alongside Round Are Way, Step Out, Stay Young, The Fame, IHITIK, I got the Fever and Some Might Say. I didn't think Noel had it in him anymore to do proper uplifting, upbeat, fast tempo tracks - but he has happily proved me wrong. Lock all the Doors was a step in the right direction (even though its from an old song), but this is something else, and the way its recorded sounds more like good old 1997.

There’s a little bit of Plastic Bertrand that I’m hearing.....but my god - she bangs
I dunno....sounds a bit like a Eurovision entry circa 2005

My favorite albums this year have been more down tempo. Note I said "down tempo", not plodding.
War on Drugs - A Deeper Understanding The National - Sleep Well Beast Big Thief - Capacity
Bought the new Wolf Alice but haven't listened to it yet, but don't imagine it having a song as uptempo and energetic as Holy Mountain. Love those aforementioned records but this song is a much needed pure sugar injection. I don't expect Who Built the Moon to necessarily beat out War on Drugs, which I think is incredible, but this song is a promising start.

This song is just super upbeat.
Even though ITHOTM and WAL were pho-dance tracks, they both very much centered on the downbeat. Same with something like Dream On. Light-hearted, but still pushing on the downbeat.

She Must Be One Of Us is an obvious b-side

Fantastic!).

Don't love it, it's alright but can't see me playing it that much, will give it a few more listens in hope something clicks. Noel's vocals annoy me on this one.

Definitely a divisive one. Completely get why some won't like it. My advice to them:
GET OUT OF THE DOLDRUMS NOOOOOOOW

The verses remind me a bit of C'est La Vie by the Stereophonics. I do quite like elements of the backing but the worst thing is the vocals. I prefer it to ITHOTM but I'm not hugely convinced after a couple of listens.

Like the song. She bangs is catchy and along with the wooohooo's stuck in my ear.
Only thing i am struggling with is Noel's voice. He sounds strained and it does not match or enhance the fun of sounds around it.
But.. I'm an oasis fan and this is has been a stellar week so .... whooohoooo...

Just been belting this out loud on the way to work. Noel is going to have so much fun singing this live. By that time we will know the lyrics perfectly, all chanting about how She Fell, She Fell right under my spell.
Bring it on chief. I'm on board.

Went to sleep with this still in my head. Just woke up and guess what? It was still stuck in my head! I think I might have even dreamt about it. Christ.
How can you say it is plodding or has no melody? It's the most catchy thing I've heard since Everything Now.
Also, torturing myself and reading all of your comments was fun. What was less fun was the same people posting on every page how shit it is. Guys, we get it after one post, why bother?

"You hear that, son? It's the sound of a million parkas running for the lifeboats".
Fucking LOVE this tune. It's the most fun, immediate, euphoric and big Noel has sounded in a very long while. Say what you will about Noel changing, but to me this is the same guy that walked on stage at Maine Road like a motherfucker, and not its tired, hunched cousin from Oasis Mk II.

Is this the out there record? Noel´s on autopilot with flutes and uptempo? Not a bad thing, cos noel is a killer writing good melodies and chorus but, nah, this is not for me. A real poppy song, not what i was expecting. Waiting for "It´s a beautiful word"
