And the line "get out of the doledrums baby" could be easily interpreted as a message to himself to explore new sonic territory, as well as a call to his fans to follow him down that path. No. It's about Liam and encouraging to come out of his past few years of personal hell. FACT.Did it ever occur to you that Noel has better things to write about? Like, maybe the woman he married?

This is why he doesn't have time to listen to the full 25 minutes of the AA version of Falling Down. Too many Liam/Noel theories. Theories are fun, but those are a heavenly 25 minutes. Give it another full spin!

This song would work just as well as an end credits song as it would in a movie's opening sequence. Not really a surprise considering that David Holmes has scored so many films.

In all seriousness, it's been very interesting seeing the polarizing reaction play out. Now I know how people must've reacted to Kid A and Yeezus upon release. This song is not comparable to anything on Kid A, this song is just not that good. I don't know about "Yeezus", that's from Kanye West right?

Yeah Yeezus was a brave industrial hip-hop record from Kanye that the critics ate up but considerably divided his fans. I really like its ambition but it's got some godawful lyrics. And I agree, Holy Mountain isn't anything like Kid A or Yeezus, but it's been interesting seeing how divisive music goes down with fans.

Can't believe I've posted almost 60 times in the last 24 hours and it's all because of this song....

There's crossover potential here. It's fun, bright, and bouncy. I could see non-rock/non-poprock fans liking this song. I was a fan of ITHOTM so this tune is up my alley.

Noel had a song on one of his spotify playlists from sometime this year that has a song that has a really similar vibe and sound: Dig both. Just wondering if this is a pinball situation... Oh yeah. This song definitely was Noel's jumping off point. I wonder if he credits him at all.

Noel could never make a Kid A. Never ever ever. I dunno man, Giants had some left field stuff for a happy band like Oasis in the 90's it was just a misguided force. WFL, Gas Panic, Go Let It Out, Fucking In the Bushes and Roll It Over were different and had something special in them. Just half of an album maybe Noel and Co. needed a few months to write more stuff.

Now that I think about it, dropping this song first (which hopefully is the worst in the album) could make the rest of the songs more digestible, people would go "well, at least it's not Holy Mountain"

Noel could never make a Kid A. Never ever ever. Then again, who would've thought the same group that released this song also would've released these two albums?

Radiohead went places, dug deeper than most bands would ever dare. Noel kept the guitar, added choirs. Radiohead put the guitars away, found computers.

This is probably the most excited I've ever been for any album ever. I am going to come for Noel's soul if it turns out that this album is shit.

So how the fuck are the unofficially uploaded Youtube videos still up on the website? Surely Noel's management are aware that we're using those links to listen to Holy Mountain without paying for it? Maybe this inaction is part of the promotional campaign?

Every Noel solo song would be improved with a good Liam vocal

Went out drinking tonight and all I heard in my head was "It's not goodbye, so dry your eyes,,,"
And my heart smiled because it was a Gallagher.
