Doesn´t Have To Be That Way looks like a Noel Gallagher's HFB Song, what do you think?

It's the best song on the album (or not on). Anything that can fuse Liam/Oasis and Tame Impala is epic in my books. This is modern music at its best and I'm glad Liam dipped in, yes 90s and before is always where the heart is, but glad he stepped forward.

Sounds like something you would expect from Noel's upcoming album, yes.

To the "new", the best song of the album.

It's like my dream song, i've always imagined how insane it would sound if liam gallagher and kevin parker worked together, this is the closest sounding thing i reckon.

Doesn´t Have To Be That Way looks like a Noel Gallagher's HFB Song, what do you think? I don't hear any similarities with this song and NGHFB. It's a great song, and I wish it would be on the actual album (but I see why they left it as an extra track, it doesn't really fit the flow of the album).

Think its a great tune, a huge surprise as i wasnt expecting tons from the bonus tracks. Just sounds very different from the 'usual' type of Liam record, can imagine someone making this into a dance tune/remix or something.
Impressive as anything

It's by far the most interesting song on the album for me. Reminded me a bit of the Guns demo he sang for prodigy but obviously a lot less heavy. His voice still sounds great with the more electronic music!

This is the thing about Liam's voice. It's such a great asset it works great in slower songs such as Paper Crown, it works in rockers such as Greedy Soul and it can also work in edgier-sounding tunes such as this. I don't think the song is too strong, and I think its strength lays on how unexpected it is, but it reminds me why I've always dreamed of an electronic, more contemporary sounding record from Liam. There's also Shoot Down (The Prodigy) and Scorpio Rising (Death In Vegas) as examples.

Out of the songs we hadn't already heard this one has grabbed my attention the most.

t's "BE" syndrome, good song wasted on a bonus track. Should have cut one of the last two songs off to fit it in.

Mighty good! Love that dirty rocker sound with plenty of distortion and reverb. I would kindly trade "You Better Run" for this track to be on the standard tracklist. More so! I would love to hear it being played live, provided the band would retain all that filth the original production has and Liam would pull off those falsetto bits. A true gem that was totally worth the wait

Its the best song. Should have been a single. Unbelievable its not on the album. This is how I want Liam sounding. Tame Impala influenced.

I've just listened to the album for the first time and my first impression is fucking hell, what an absolute tune this is. Should have been on the album instead of one of the ploddy songs in the middle.

If this was the first single his album probably would have been scrapped.

If this was the first single his album probably would have been scrapped. Probably not. Actually it would have grabbed as many mainstream fans as possible. That sound is modern and what most people like these days. Whether people realize it or not, music is not confined to these boards. I hate pop. I hate edm. I hate Bieber and I hate Skrillex. I hate lots of similar stuff to that. But I also know I can't live my life being stuck in 1996, as much as I'd love to. Cause if I did, I'd never discover new music. the 90s music will never come back and if it did, it would be a cheap imitation, which people on this board would just deem "a cheap Lennon knockoff". I hate most modern music, but also realize I need to branch out at least a little bit in order to discover some new stuff. That's why I like Tame Impala. That's why I like What A Life, Ballad of the Mighty I, While the Song Remains the Same and this song. If Liam and Noel dip their toe into new mainstream stuff without going too much over the line, I love it and its refreshing too. People need to expand their musical tastes at least a bit, and I can't believe I'm the one saying this, as I'm often told I only like one type of music. If one doesn't expand, they'll be stuck in the 90s, and when new stuff from old guys do come out, they'll deem it not up to snuff. Liam and Noel will never again put out another Live Forever, DLBIA etc..., time to move on and embrace some change (as long st they don't go fully to the dark side!)

Yesterday I thought this song was awful, but I listened to it a few times now via iTunes and I like it. I still think this song would have been received really negative especially on this forum as some awful song Beady Eye wouldn't even make.

WOW. Just wow. Liam with a 2017 sound, a new direction for the future perhaps??
Love that vocal hook, the way it starts with low notes and then “be that waaaayyyy” - sounds so nice the way he sings that! Very good production as well
