The funny thing about Magic Pie is that Noel rated it as one of the best songs he'd ever written at the time.
Didn't he say "in 30 years he would be remembered for Live Forever, Wonderwall and Magic Pie?" Or something like that.

Yep, like most have said, there's definitely a song in there but it suffers the most from Be Here Nowitus
The melody in the verses is great but how it reaches 7 mins is beyond me

To think Stay Young was going to be on this and then we got this was scandalous.
Its basically Noel thinking he can write anything he wants in 5 minutes. Sometimes you get Supersonic, most the time you get magic pie.
The post that said the first 30 seconds are great and the rest is shit got it right. Literally no thought gone in to the chorus at all. If the rest of Be Here Now was like this then Noel could rightfully slate it like he does, luckily we know its got so much genius to it. Just not on magic pie.

Good song, but not the best on BHN, and not the worst either.
The saving grace of this tune is the long trippy solo which is absolutely superb.

I think the solo with the harmonising is amazing, and even the chorus sounds good after that. The first half is ok, just horrifically produced. Overall a solid 3/5.
