He's still starting his gigs with a block of Who Built the Moon songs?
I admire his courage, but it seemed like a bad idea when I saw him live last year. I like 'It's a Beautiful World', but after 'Fort Knox' and 'Holy Mountain' back-to-back I wanted a change of scene. Not even an Oasis tune; anything off one of the other H.F.B. albums would do.

Whatever you think of the other songs, he really needs to drop All You Need Is Love. A boring cover, and he has literally 20 songs he wrote that would work better as a closer. Or just end on electric Don't Look Back in Anger

Trying too hard to move on from the Oasis days. Every single fan is who is there to see him is there because of DLBIA and the like. The solo stuff is great, too but not what people are there for. If McCartney just did Wings and his solo stuff hardly anyone would go.

What time of year did you last see him? Was it the start of his tour or towards the end (i.e. last summer). By last July, he was playing 3/4 WBTM songs consecutively, then straight into Heat of the Moment, Dream On, LBL And it wasn't doing the set any harm. Mainly because the songs really only seem to work together as a block - they kind of go into each other nicely. I do like STMTF to be a bit later in the set, though. It's a song that needs to be played when everybody is well into it, imo

You can't put FK in the middle, and Holy Mountain has to be near the start too. He played Talk Tonight no.5 yesterday. In the Absolute Radio gig he did last summer he played 7 or 8 Oasis songs in a row to end the show.

Cheers for the reminder. My Hull ticket is now on Twickets and incredibly appears to be the only one available.

There's a load of Edinburgh tickets back on sale if you really want to pay £75 to hear Talk Tonight again

I was pretty gutted about not having a ticket for next week, now... not so much.
Saying that I would like to hear SCYHO as I've never heard that one live. I wonder if we'll see anymore surprises in the extended setlist.

I wonder if we'll see anymore surprises in the extended setlist. I doubt it'll happen but I suppose there's a chance he could play either/both of the other songs off the EP.

What is up with Noel not bringing out the deep cuts? He used to that all the time. Shout It Out Loud is better than SCYHO. Where's Alone on the Rope? Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me would sound stellar with Jesse and Audrey.

I got sucked in by the promise of new material but then I heard said new material. Unfortunately I don't do middle-aged men going disco and seemingly delighting in alienating their fans, even if it is Noel Gallagher.

Why All You Need Is Love? Noel has many great songs to choose from and he ends the setlist with a cover.

Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me would sound stellar with Jesse and Audrey. He may well do. He was playing a 75 minute set at a festival in Spain, ffs. On his second gig back in 6 months. He's played a song (Lock All The Doors) not played on this tour, brought back Talk Tonight (played once since 2016) and played SCYHO, a song not played in 14 years. He also debuted a new song. Perspective. Your complaint literally seems to be "but he's played the WRONG old Oasis song" in regards to SCYHO. We'll see what the sets this week have to offer. LTLSALOM was played once or twice in the U.S. last year before it was dropped for The Right Stuff (at the time a live debut). Alone On The Rope also got played just the once, at that special radio gig in Manchester. Overall, on the Moon tour, he's debuted (for HFB) the following songs: - All of the WBTM album at one point or another (The Man Who Built The Moon only played twice) - Dead In The Water - Go Let It Out - All You Need Is Love - The Right Stuff - Stop Crying Your Heart Out - Black Star Dancing - Married With Children (played at a charity gig in Feb) You're looking there at 17 songs new to that band in the year or so of touring. <iframe width="17.91999999999996" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 17.91999999999996px; height: 3.240000000000009px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_46864902" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="17.91999999999996" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 17.92px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 842px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_23338387" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="17.91999999999996" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 17.92px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 103px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_51760814" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="17.91999999999996" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 17.92px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 842px; top: 103px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_21961015" scrolling="no"></iframe>

I find it weird people getting alienated because if you just don't like something you just don't have to listen. I don't really get the 'alienated' thing. The live shows are great (imo) because the band are so good that they elevate (again in my opinion) already good songs. But fair do's if it's not your cup of tea.

Noël lives rent free inside of his head, it's obvious; actually, he seemingly pays Noël to live inside his head.....total power move. God bless.

Well, for one, I've been paying to hear said songs live for a lot longer than you have, young man, and one more Talk Tonight might be enough for me to start screaming for Force of Nature or something instead and getting rightly sectioned under the Mental Health Act. I'm annoyed that for the last album he constructed an entirely imaginary narrative where having girls in his band would blow all his knuckle-dragging, parka-wearing fans' minds. He's always come up with bullshit stories but I don't remember throwing insults at his fans being part of them before. So that's a big part of the alienation. You're right, I don't have to listen, and now I'm at the point I thought I'd never reach where I probably won't. It's a pretty weird place to be when so much of your life has been going to see Oasis and Noel, you've run forums, you've been part of buying up old songs etc etc etc, but here we are.

Noel has a giant back catalog of material and doesn't need to do covers, especially Beatles' ones. I'm just saying instead of old Oasis singles he could bring out b-sides and no need for covers anywhere in his setlist. He'll probably prove me right (I hope).
