Honestly, having watched the videos from last night, I'm now superhyped.
Crowd has a lot to do with it at all times but last night they looked right on it and how anybody can't smile while watching All You Need Is Love (below) is beyond me.
Noel's on fire, the band are on fire and the songs - new and old - sound great.
If you get the time watch this guy's vids^
He's put them all on bar FK and What A Life

Was at Glasgow last night, as expected still enjoyed the gig despite my lack of enthusiasm going in Fort Knox, It's a beautiful world, dead in the water and She taught me how to fly were the highlights of the new stuff and all sounded really good - crowd got right into the chorus of STMHTF where i was. Love is the law was alright although the guitar solo is good, keep on reaching and BCWYWF were poor in my opinion. Of the NGHFB songs the only one i'm bored of really is Riverman, I don't like Dream On normally but even that got a good reaction. LBL IOBI got really good reactions as always, HTWA and WW got decent reactions but again kinda bored of them but thats probably through having seen them played so many times, even swap in some NGHFB songs in their place Everybody's on the run etc . I had apprehensions about the right stuff but really enjoyed that, I loved Go Let It Out, DLBIA great singalong as always just wish he'd play it full on with the full band . And shock horror I loved All you need is love, great little sing along! So yeah, another good night - just wish he'd be a bit more flexible with his set lists What time did Noel come on mate. Guessing 9? Yeah 9 on the nose almost!

It works amazingly well as a closer. It's a huge singalong and even if it's not your favourite song if you weren't singing a long to it when 15,000 others were then I wouldn't really see the point in even going in the first place? It's like slagging him off for playing LBL or IOBI. They may not be our favourite songs as Oasis experts, but they work for the setlist. Could do with one or two tweaks but that set flows at the moment and I'm massively looking forward to next week

Easily the worst Noel gig I’ve been at which is sad to say. Literally nobody gave a fuck about any of his new stuff apart from maybe Beautiful World and She Taught Me How To Fly.
Weirdly Dream On was a massive hit, plus the Oasis songs obviously.
I enjoyed it but honestly his new album stuff went down worse than a lead balloon.

Can I just ask, if you didn't like the new stuff, then why did you go? That is what I meant by inadequacy, nothing else... If people don't like the base material for a tour, and it was well known he was playing a large part then of the new album, then I guess it's fair to say they're bound not to enjoy the gig... The show went on sale months before the album had been released, though to be fair, I think I'd have bought tickets anyway. Songs can turn into different beasts when played live, so I reckoned I'd give the new stuff a try. From the moment promotion started at Jools Holland I was afraid I'd made a mistake. I thought STMHTF was still as weak as it is on record. But I still went, thinking maybe the rest will be alright but even the other songs on the setlist are poor choices. Of the 12 other songs he's playing there's about 6 that go over well. Riverman, In the Heat of the Moment, The Right Stuff... It's not working. He's playing more dates in Europe later this year and I just can't be bothered.

Aberdeen wasn't the best or worst I've seen. He took B&WS off the set which is one ofy favourites on the new album.
Heard them before the gig soundchecking TMWBTM. It sounded really good, don't know why it's not in the show.
Anyway I'm looking forward to Edinburgh in July now. The Castle in 2012 is probably the best solo gig I've seen.

I thought it was rather flat in Aberdeen last night, I think it was 7 songs in before NG even acknowledged the crowd!
Dead in the Water was amazing live and She Taught Me How to Fly.
Not sure the encore works maybe just wants to get his money's worth out of Ysee by playing the Right Stuff.

Yeh I'd wish he'd have kept B&WS in but he took it off pretty early on in his US leg. Hopefully TMTBTM comes soon then.

Plenty of positive tweets about last night. That's not me being selective btw. That's just a search of 'Noel Gallagher Aberdeen'. Just adding some balance

If you listened to the Milan gig a few weeks back that was broadcast live, he didn't say a word until after Riverman, I believe.

I've been to brighton show last sunday; it was my second gig of this tour after Milan. Last year i decided i would have attended the first gig of tour to be surprise by the setlist..unfortunately the tour began in the US so i decided for the milan (where i live) anche Brighton which was the first of the UK tour...Only change was if love is the love. In my opinion it was a great gig; brits seemed to be intrested in solo songs as well, especially from the two first records. nice one
