ugh, way to go Moz. Wtf? Spacey had the power when that incident happened. Why is it that he has to speak about something so controvertial all the time? 😑 Should we leave children alone with older people? No. But you can't always ve there with the children, so that's why there are rules and laws that everyone must follow. FFS you wrote a song about something similar and don't see the issue with this? 😟 His notion that every rockstar is basically a pedophile is idiotic.

I like it more than the last one, it feels more consistent as an album and I love 'Home is a question mark', it has entered my top 10 of Morrissey's solo songs, it even has some AM by Arctic Monkeys feel.
But as someone pointed out most of the album is too political, not that I'm against people stating their opinions (whatever they are), but I don't think he's trying to make great songs, it feels almost like blog ravings with background music.
And as for the Kevin Spacey thing, it's just disgusting. I think Morrissey has lost the plot, after years of being an outsider with fire in his mouth he has lost perspective of the things he says. And I'm saying it as the biggest Smiths fan, it's painfull to see him making such declarations after the beautiful lyrics he wrote when he was young.

Morrissey going after the Fake News Media:
"The campaign for Low in High School, and for surrounding singles, was derailed and damaged purposely by the haters."

Morrissey going after the Fake News Media: "The campaign for Low in High School, and for surrounding singles, was derailed and damaged purposely by the haters." I'm two seconds in and I already have to hit the pause button. State of the Union adress? Cringgggge. Edit: This was just pathetic and sad to watch. Such a whiny little twat he is nowadays. Won't take responsibility for anything, everything is a deliberate attempt by his haters(hearing a man above 50 use that word is always an embarrassing moment) to take him down. And if that wasn't enough, his fans seem to totally buy it(of course there are many who don't, but I'm referring to the response to this video)! It's like a fucking cult. But apparently he saved the best for last! He claims that the victims of the Manchester terrorist attack have been largely forgotten, but assures us listening that at least Moz himself will think of them. Seriously, what are you trying to say with that? Just fuck off, and take that high horse with you.

Honestly, bashing Morrissey these days is, to me, no better than mindlessly repeating what he says. I don't think he comes off as that pretentious in this video, somewhat sober really, and it's not like the essence of what he says is wrong. That Spiegel interview, by the way, is a really obvious page-long attempt by the interviewer to get Morrissey to say something outrageous.
Then again, it's funny how he cannot believe that anything else but haters campaigning is to blame for the relative failure of his album - like the fact that the music is nowhere near as good as it used to be.

I feel bad for him watching the video, he honestly believes in what he's saying. But I think is delusional to blame the media like it was some sort of conspirancy against him, he's basically saying that powerful people are trying to prevent him to spread his message.
Also he keeps saying he didn't say those words, but the audio is out there and he did. Maybe some of them were in a different tone to what they later published, but for the most part he really said it.
