Lyrics on this song are as good as anything he’s done, amazing.

I was trying to think of a word to sum this track up for me after over 100 listens now (mainly on good quality headphones) and it’s SOPHISTICATED
It’s just so well executed imo.
It’s getting better.

Wonder why they played the radio edit when they did it live in Jools Holland. Perhaps that’s Noels preferred version? The radio edit actually sounds like a more finished version of the song to me as far as structure goes (usually radio edits are the opposite). It makes the album version sound like the remix, with needless extended sections etc... The bass and drums in the verses are superb though. Wonder if they sampled the same beat used in Breathe by The Prodigy for it: Noticed that the album trailer version was actually slightly different though, had the French “attention, attention...” line looping, which doesn’t happen on the real song. I had thought that was going to be reprised during the outro and would have been how the song would end, obviously not though! The drums are "borrowed" from Vitamin C by Can! From the genius that is (was) Jaki Liebezeit. Jammin...

Has anyone else noticed the keyboards in the last 6 seconds of the song play the refrain from I Heard Wonders? Or is that just my imagination? Yes I noticed that one. Great tunes both.

I have been listening to both the radio edit and the full song a lot. It's curious how a few edits may alter the feeling of a song: for me the full song sounds much more melancholic, while the radio edit makes it more upbeat and has a more optimistic feel

I totally feel this is one of the best things he has wrote since Be Here Now.

I prefer the album cut myself because the radio edit completely loses the second verse and uses the first longer / double verse as the first and second verse. If that makes sense.

Noels looks like he stole The Three Amigos clothes. Expect a bonus mariachi like song as a b-side.

The third verse is brilliant by the way: I'm blinded by the light I try to catch my breath I sing a song of love and you can teach me what you know of death.
It's walking in your dreams it's written in the sky and when you feel the heat you know you've found the reason why. What do the lyrics mean to you? I find them ambiguous and fairly inconsequential.

I don't understand why there is no physical release. Am I the only one?

Noel talked about having to re-write the lyrics somewhat after hearing Charlotte's part. In terms of tone, I'd say that this part is much darker and less hopeful than the other verses. I wonder if the first few verses was the original intent, and this was the edit.

Instead of "Only mine is right", the lyric should be "Only by design"
That's what I thought it initially was. That's what I still think it should be. Invoking a biblical reference for a BIBLICAL song.

he's worth close to £50m ffs
I don't think spending £1500 on a weird jacket he'll probably wear once is of any consequence to him

THAT is exactly why this album can never go beyond 8/10 ! (or reach the moon if you will) The lyrics are quite good overall, but they're very generic and down to earth. While the music is as "out there" as Noel will ever get, I wish he'd be a notch more imaginative with his lyrics. Like he had David Holmes saying when he sounds too much like Oasis, he could have someone challenge him when he writes too much like Oasis.Heck, loads of bits of the lyrics are even lifted from his own songs.

Have to make do with this till the music video appears (if it ever does!)... Why does his attire, stage 'moves' and facial 'expressions' remind me of Lou Reed?

So... Was this one officially a single or are they releasing it later on? And happened to the video? Seems odd putting it on Spotify pre-album release and putting a lyrics video on YouTube if they're doing something official later?
