In a rush so can't look through threads to see if it's been posted but thought I'd post it as it's great seeing two legends together.

Springsteen has more talent in his pinky than Grohl does in his whole body.

There is nothing wrong with Dave Grohl! And Bruce is the boss! Does anybody know the guy with the blonde hair in the back? Looks familiar as well.

What's wrong with Dave Grohl? He's a giant tosser and I say that as someone who loves the music of Nirvana. The thing I hate most about him is his Gee whizz happy smiley persona.

I love Dave, comes off as an awesome person. The world is full enough of miserable people.

I love Dave, comes off as an awesome person. The world is full enough of miserable people. Agreed. Dave Grohl is the man. He loves Oasis, has always a great story to tell, his Sonic highways docs are great and probably helped basic foo fighters fans discover some great bands. Sure the last albums by the Foos are not the best he's ever done, but he's a good man and he knows how lucky he is. What's not to like really... except maybe when you enjoy being miserable i suppose.

I'm not a huge fan of Foo Fighters to be honest but Dave seems to be a cool guy.

Man, I hate Dave Grohl. He literally likes everything. If you took a shit in front of him, he'd tell you how it was the greatest shit he's ever seen. Too often he comes off as a sycophant (Basically, Jimmy Fallon, but less creepy about it).
Which ironically, Grohl is also like Noel. In the sense, that they tend to exclusively hang out with other famous people. Which there's nothing wrong with that. As I said, it's a lot more prevalent among rock stars than most people think. The difference is that Grohl makes it seem like he's everyone's best friend, which at some point comes off as disingenuous.

The difference is that Grohl makes it seem like he's everyone's best friend, which at some point comes off as disingenuous. He's cultivated a false image over the years. Heard from someone (an ex fan) that they encountered him once and went up to him in a hotel bar and he shouted at the guy to 'fuck off' without any hassle. Also read a book about U2s Achtung Baby/Zooropa phase by Bill Flanagan; Grohl went up to Bono after a gig and said 'no offence, but I'd never want to play stadiums like you guys. I'm in a punk band' and basically had an air of snobbery to him. "Obviously not the brains of the group" Bono muttered to Gavin Friday. Fast forward 25 years, look at what he's doing with Foo Fighters; and the music is total dreck. It's incredible how Foo Fighters have got away with their musical wallpaper for so long, merely on the basis that Grohl is a 'nice guy' and I suspect hanging on the coattails of Kurt Cobain. The whole thing surrounding him and Foo Fighters is bullshit.

How people buy it I'll never know and for balance I will also say I despise the manufactured angst some singer songwriters carry on with. Another bug bear I have is performers who usually are female go on stage and then decide to perform barefoot. If poor people can afford shoes so can singers.

I hate Dave Grohl not because he's made some terrible music (which he has), but because he and his band once supported AIDS denialist groups. They even linked to AIDS denialist websites on their official website. You can still see it if you use the Wayback Machine. They've removed all references to AIDS denialism since, but they never issued any official apologies for spreading lies about a very serious disease that kills a million people every year.

I'm sick of seeing Dave Grohl show up at shows and it makes major news. His 'just an average dude' persona doesn't fool me.
Plus that album where each song was recorded in a different city was such a BUST...none of the songs even "sounded like the city," so what was the point??

Remember that bit when on the There And Then DVD, where Noel is cracking on about seeing Sting at one of their gigs and he wise-cracks "There's Sting. Throw him out".
Well, yeah, Noel has managed to become Sting.

This should be the cover of Noel's new album.
