Lynne, idea for a new sitcom: Everybody Hates Noel The residents of Burnage, Manchester do their best to get along with sullen wanna be rock star Noel Gallagher but his 2 brothers take delight in ruining his chances at every turn, until a chance meeting with a ginger haired fella in Glasgae changes his fortunes.

It's a fucking Wonderwall... He needs to change it every year to survive the boredom of playing it. I like this new arrangement, good guitar work from Gem there, both of them actually.

Only just seen this video.
To me its just outrageous that im seeing the man who wrote the songs that matter to me more than anything other, who's songs are sung louder than any artist from any era in any club on any nightout i go on, having to ask people to sing along as he supports fucking u2.
I get he doesn't want Oasis back. There's fundamental differences with the singer that might never be fixed, but it's getting to that point where it feels like he is doing everything he can to show he doesn't give a fuck about the fans who matter while he sips champagne with Bono.
The Oasis fanbase were given a choice over the last few weeks to go to a gig with the frontman of Oasis singing all of their hits with power, passion and in the exact same fashion that made them what they were, or go and see the man who didnt sing them, interpret them differently to how any of his crowds will sing them back and give us the essentially the same show hes been lazily expecting us to lap up whilst we have no other option. Look at the result in sales.
Noel will pick up, has to. He will put more effort into this tour than any other solo one and he will do better PR and they'll be more style and substance to this album than either of the previous ones. Is that a good thing? Absolutely. Should it have taken his younger brother having a resurgence in popularity to actually actively put the effort in for his loyal fanbase? Absolutely not and its actually disgraceful that it takes shit like this for him to change his ways.

They are his songs so he can do whatever he wants with them. But there are a few that Liam made untouchable and this is one of them. He doesn't even come close to being able to pull it off.

I'm a neutral, big fan of Noel and Liam
One thing great about Oasis back in the day was that you had the 'rockier' songs sung by Liam and then you had the slower songs often sung by Noel halfway through a gig.
Noel cant sing rock songs as good as Liam, his 'fast' songs on his solo albums i'm not keen on, the more slower ones hes brilliant at. Far better voice than Liam but Liams got the attitude. Liam makes me want to roll back the years and get in the mosh pit, Noel makes me want to sit down with my slippers and bovril and tap my foot constantly to his tunes.
So its a good mix hearing Noels acoustic versions of his own songs but after a while they do get a 'bit' tiresome.
But back in the day i loved Fade Away (great fast rock song by Liam) and the Warchild Fade away (good slow acoustic version by Noel).

Let's see how Liam is selling on his 3rd tour. This is his 3rd tour This is Liam Gallagher's 1st tour. Listen, I understand your excitement. The new music sounds great and his tour is selling well and nothing can detract from that. But if you're denying that a lot of the clamor around this tour is because it's Liam on his own for the first time and everybody wants to see what's going to happen, then I think you're denying the obvious. Just my opinion, of course.

I don't like how he yells 'CAN YOU SING!?' before the DLBIA chorus nowadays, makes me cringe for some reason.

I don't like how he yells 'CAN YOU SING!?' before the DLBIA chorus nowadays, makes me cringe for some reason. I prefer when Noel makes it subtle - the crowd has to earn the right to sing the DLBIA chorus, especially in America. You know you made it as an audience when he just lets you sing it.

His wonderwall version is really bad, has been for a few years, ryan adams(or i dont remember the name) ruined it. He's trying escape the comparison with liam by doing thede acoustic(bad) arrangements, and i think it is stupid, he has plenty good songs he sang while in oasis, especially b-sides so i don't think he should keep doing this cringy champagne countrynova ever again.
