To keep the trend that has developed over the last 11 years, here's the official Arsenal thread.
One week from today is the start of the new season with Arsenal vs. Leicester.
Lacazette and Kolasinac look to be good additions, but we still need to bring in at least one more player before the end of the window - otherwise it would be the same old Arsenal, always underachieving.
It's good we're keeping Alexis, though.
Prediction? 3rd with 81 points.

Reminder: Download and watch 1997's Fever Pitch, based off of Nick Hornby's brilliant novel, by Friday's kick off to the 2017/18 Premier League season.
Book was better but the film is still immense, innit.

Wenger's being very naïve trying to keep Sanchez when he's already made it clear he wants to go, just hand him over to us (City) and we'll happily pay £80,000,000. Surely that's a better solution than keeping him for one more year and letting him go for free at the end of the season.

Mate, with those 4 we have a chance of winning the league. In any case, Alexis will not be going to Citeh under any circumstance. AW has learnt from the diabolical decision to hand over RVP to Utd, where RVP single-handedly won them the league. In any case, why doesn't Pep rate Augero? Alexis is a poor man's Augero. You have what you need. Greedy Soul.

Never mind donning the home kit, I'm seriously thinking about wearing a suit when watching The Arsenal on the tele, and buying one of those Puma coats (with my initials on the side) for when it's cold, and fidgeting with the zipper throughout the match. And no. This is not a joke. God help my soul. Let It Bleed

Arsenal 4-3 Leiecester
What a match! WHAT A FUCKING MATCH!
We won despite: 1. Holding unleashing his inner Cygan 2. Xhaka unleashing his inner Denilson 3. And Walcott thinking he is Mahrez with that hairstyle
Mate, I went ballistic in the last 10 minutes. From 3-2 down, to 4-3 up. This is why PROPER FOOTBALL is the best sport in the world, bar none.
And Giroud! Anyone who CONTINUES to slate this guy is an absolute numpty who knows nowt about the beautiful games.
Football is boring? You stupid fucking silly yanks.
For 24 hours: We are top the league, say we are top the league!

And Kolasinac is a BEAST.

Tottenham live in our shadows, and they had the chance but threw it away, and it's never going to be the same cos Spurs are no longer at the lane....

So we signed only 2 players and neither were in the starting 11 (vs. Liverpool) And why can't Lacazette and Sanchez be in the starting 11 together? And why is Welbeck starting, and as a striker at that? And why are we playing Holding today, he is getting torn to shreds. And why are we playing players out of position when we have a fully fit squad? And why are we about to sell Mustafi when we just bought him last season for 35m? And why doesn't AW know his starting 11 yet? And why does Xhaka start? He's a glorified Denilson - a liability who always gives the ball away. And why haven't we done better this transfer window? And now we just lost our second game (vs. Liverpool) from the first three. Starting 11 is all wrong. Tactics all wrong. AND CAN WE PLEASE DITCH THE BACK 3 FORMATION? GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, ARSENE. #WENGEROUT matt

Can't blame Arsene for how bad Arsenal are/ were today (still 20 odd minutes to go in match) the players are acting like children. They should all be fined.
Oh yeah Beady, I've one more thing to say..... Hahahahaha!!

Oh yeah Beady, I've one more thing to say..... Hahahahaha!! Arsene Wenger owes the fans an apology today, and he better deliver it. It's okay to lose when you have given 100%, but today we just didn't give a single damn. Shambolic all around. We deserve an apology for whatever the fuck that was that we just watched.

Something is going on behind the scenes. Something is definitely happening behind closed doors... Of course the squad is unsettled by the contract issues, but look at the other evidence: 1. Gabriel sold, even though he was a useful player 2. Mustafi maybe sold, but we just bought him for 35m last season, and with Gabriel gone, we kinda need to keep our defenders 3. Walcott getting zero attention - I'm not his biggest fan, but he's being overlooked....why? 4. Kolasinac and Lacazette were subs today, why? 5. BAFFLING team selections in all 3 matches - players out of positions, Welbeck up front (wtf?), etc. It **seems** Wenger has somehow lost the dressing room. You don't get that kind of pathetic performance matched with the above 5 points without something drastically going on. Our losses and performances run much deeper than the match itself. Something is very dodgy atm, but what? matt

For years, they didn't have to contend with anyone taking fourth spot. Now, you have Spurs and Liverpool - I thought Spurs at Wembley would derail them from the top four, and Liverpool wouldn't cope with midweek games in Europe, like how they performed pathetically the last time they were in the CL. I still think Spurs will struggle for momentum at Wembley but today was against Liverpool who played mid-week. You'd have thought it was Arsenal who were playing mid-week. That screws my theory of Liverpool struggling this year. Arsenal had a full week to prepare for this, more than Liverpool, and they were awful. Don't know what's wrong with the players - if some were looking for a high profile transfer then they certainly don't deserve it on that showing.

Today was much worse than:
Man Utd: 6-1 Man Utd: 8-2 Chelsea: 6-0 Liverpool: 5-1
I have never felt this furious at Arsenal nor AW. Today was preventable, whereas the four matches above were more predictable. There were zero excuses for not being able to show up at Anfield today. None.
This eerily reminds me of Chelsea in 2015. That Chelsea team clearly had the intention of getting Mourinho sacked (reasons I still don't think have ever been articulated), and I won't go that far with Arsenal's 2017 squad - not yet anyway - but it has that feeling.
