I think Noel will drop ITHOTM and WAL during his next tour. No way he drops WAL, it's his biggest solo tune, and he loves it

Saw them yesterday and i really liked the set. But the sound was pretty bad in my opinion. Everyone loved the Oasis songs, but it seemed that some of the fans never heard of his "new" songs before

I think Noel will drop ITHOTM and WAL during his next tour. Hes is not gonna drop 2 of his most modern sounding solo tunes. Not a chance.

Fuck, I forgot how much I love ITHOTM live. It's a beast of a tune live for Noel. I like the live version without the "na na na's". Wish he did it another way on record.

Just home from Twickenham. Man, U2 have a lot of fat fans. So I can give a bit of a better review now. So, first off I will say I'm 100% 'Team Liam' but I'll always go and see Noel when he's about. He's never below a 7 or 8 out of 10 and tonight was no different. A good set as a support act and did all the main ones that people wanna hear I think. My personal highlight was seeing him back with Gem again (managed to catch the RAH show when he was with him as well) and Champagne Supernova was class. I'm sure I'll be out to see Noel again come the release of the third album but on the basis of seeing Liam in Brixton and Noel tonight, there is only one winner and it ain't Noel. Side note - fuck me, how ridiculous is it to get away from Twickenham?? I live just over 5 miles away and I got home at 1am.

I left after Vertigo and got back to Chelmsford (40+ miles away) at about 12:15. Agreed about the Brixton LG gig. Liams gig was on another level in comparison, Liam obviously had a lot more to prove though I guess.

Now if you prefer Liam fair enough, he's a magnificent frontman and Noel's not, but I'd find it hard to compare a support slot to a proper gig as the headline act

Leaving early would've helped you though. Still - utterly ridiculous. If you live round there it must be a total nightmare during the 6 Nations.

I know people have to get home like, but... Why would you leave a concert early? Why miss the finale? Seems pointless... It's not pointless if you have to spend all night outside or somewhere else waiting for the first train back home. I missed the last train back home after a gig twice and I don't wish anyone this kind of experience. Haha. I'm just one of them who doesn't like to miss the finale's of things!

Barring a new single having been released a few weeks ago, Noel was never mixing things up for these gigs.
The amounts of tweets I saw from people there saying 'didn't expect NG to be this good' or 'seeing NG for the first time, love singing along to the Oasis classics' prove that it wouldn't have worked.
It's not his audience. It's U2's audience.
He'll change the set list around when he goes on tour.

They could sing along to a million different Oasis songs, yet he churns out the same boring old ones This. Which ones that he didn't play? Slide Away - Noel can't match Liam's vocals on an electric version in a cavernous stadium, ditto for Live Forever. I didn't really expect anything different.

Not trying to create another Noel/Liam war. Just comparing...in their first shows after a while, Liam played EIGHT completely new songs, two Oasis songs not played in a long time and one a capella song Noel, instead, has played all the same songs played in his last show!! FFS Noel, you can do better. I've really enjoyed your solo shows, but you can't be so lazy The difference is Liam announced and is promoting his album. Noel is doing U2 support. Album 3 isn't official yet. Totally different deal. This. If there was a single out I'm sure Noel would have played it.

I know people have to get home like, but... Why would you leave a concert early? Why miss the finale? Seems pointless... Because I don't want to be stumbling around Twickenham with my pregnant wife at 1am when the trains stop at midnight and the public transport is terrible. But yeah I'm really hoping Noel joins them onstage for a song or 2. So you missed when he did come on? Look, I wasn't meaning to be offensive. But if I'm going to a gig or a football game or whatever else, I'm there for the duration. Hope you and your wife enjoyed the gig. Your kid should have a good music taste

Gem is definitely bringing back the sound Noel needed for his solos. Way different than the other guy. I'm glad he's back, he plays Noel's solo perfectly.

If there was a single out I'm sure Noel would have played it. Also, Noel is breaking in two new band mates as well. As much as everyone likes to think that all musicians can be swapped whenever without issue... it takes time for bands to gel properly and get new material down. That's why Noels sets have been Oasis heavy thus far.

I don't mind Noel not changing up the setlist supporting U2. But i will be pretty pissed off if he starts his own tour with the same old setlist.
And he definitely needs to stop that Can you sing crap during DLBIA.
