1. Everybody's On The Run 2. Lock All The Doors 3. In The Heat Of The Moment 4. Riverman 5. Champagne Supernova 6. Half The World Away 7. The Mexican 8. Wonderwall 9. Little By Little 10. What a Life! that's the setlist. Not trying to create another Noel/Liam war. Just comparing...in their first shows after a while, Liam played EIGHT completely new songs, two Oasis songs not played in a long time and one a capella song Noel, instead, has played all the same songs played in his last show!! FFS Noel, you can do better. I've really enjoyed your solo shows, but you can't be so lazy The difference is Liam announced and is promoting his album. Noel is doing U2 support. Album 3 isn't official yet. Totally different deal.

Nah, He can play one or two new songs as he is going to release a record just one month after Liam's one. Or trying another oasis songs...they have plenty of well known songs to play.

SO WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU? Sing me something new... Ehh, at least he didn't do If I Had a Gun. I don't know anyone, apart from nl4e and Noel himself, who actually likes that song. it is a fucking great song. it's just round here it is not liked. dunno why.. the production? doesnt go anywhere? people should get out a bit more and enjoy the beautiful things out there and stop being critic fucks if I'm going to see Noel, I'd rather have If I Had A Gun then the fucking Mexican acoustic in Toronto before the first tour, it was mindblowing we just spend too much fucking time here blabbing about nada (this post wasn't to you directly, I just lost myself in whatever I was trying to say. respect )

He won't play new material until he premieres his new song on radio and announces his album proper. No reason to expect anything else from him based on history. Oasis didn't do it that way. Or beady Eye. Or noel. Or Liam.

As Lennon says, we're not even in the album 3 cycle.
Don't know what people were expecting - this is merely a nice easy pay day for Noel and a chance to sharpen up his live performances before the next cycle. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm really curious for hearing new material from his upcoming album

I think the setlist makes a lot of sense. Noel's chosen the eight songs from the last tour that people reacted to more positively, plus Riverman (which is clearly a favourite of his) and Little By Little. In a month or two we'll be hearing new music, and it's fairly safe to say there will be a dedicated tour for the new album, so I can't see what's wrong with the setlist.

Realistically, when does everyone think we will hear new music? I haven't got a clue personally.

Realistically, when does everyone think we will hear new music? I haven't got a clue personally. You mean live or from the new album? I'm sure we will hear the first single at most two months before the release date (that would be early September). So it's quite likely we will hear it in August. TDOYAM was debuted in late July.

I'm not a fan of the tune (I never listen to it) but it's still better than more of the half of the setlist. That's saying something. He could have played Stand By Me though. It's a rather well known single from the 90's, so some U2 fans must know it. Better play it than fucking Little By Little...

Realistically, when does everyone think we will hear new music? I haven't got a clue personally. Mid September Mogwai's new album is out on September 1st and "our" The National's new album is out on September 8th. There's a lot, lot, lot... music, Mr. Gallagher I'm saying. (but you know what I mean, Mr. Lennon)

It did look a bit sad, Noel playing his hits and people just wandering in. Of course that's what opening acts do and I'm sure he's happy playing there and hanging out with his friends, but still...
