Liams gonna have to have a tony talk to that drummer. Not an expert on the instrumental side in the slightest but hes fucking all over the place at times.
Liam is sounding great and on some songs the whole band do come together and nail it.
But in Oasis we had the band carrying Liam. Now he is carrying this sorry band. Is it really a coincdence btw that Drews mic hasnt been on for One Love and this?
Sack the band. Liam was biblical.
On a side note got back from Roses last night. After seeing them last week. Anyone who thinks they are anywhere near Oasis level need their head looking at. Milked it for everything its worth. Truly shit.

Ringo's son in law on the other hand...

Can anyone hear what Liam's singing in the second half of the Bold chorus btw? I thought it was 'you saw soul' for a while but it doesn't sound like that at Glastonbury, sounds like 'served soap' or something to my ears!

Dogshit review. Having watched it again this morning, he fucking smashed it. They gave him a low score because Oasis didn't get back together. Fucking mental. I've listened to it back today taking the girlfriend to work and back and I can truly say this is Liam's best live performance since 2001. I never bother with bootlegs but can see me listening to this set a lot in the next few months.

Hi everyone! Long time Oasis-fan, and right now a very happy Liam-fan Been listening to the Glasto-gig, and it is simply awesome. Thanks god for whatever Liam did with his voice, please, keep it up. That Slide Away-performance... And Bold is just breathtakingly beautiful. Very well done Liam

Here's a second draft, with the overall pitch lowered, although I'm not too sure where else I can go from here... That's good.

Every interview I've seen with Liam lately hints he's taken a more spiritual direction in his life. He'll always have that arrogance and swagger, it's what makes him rock n roll, but I get the sense he's taking everything in and is a lot more grateful these days. The failure of Beady Eye to catch fire like Oasis did may well have been the making of him, they say you learn the most from your failures rather than successes in life.

Those "humorless, lifeless, we need rock n roll" you spoke of have headlined Glasto 3 times with rave reviews including this very year. Oasis did it once in 2004 and were slaughtered. Believe it or not, Radiohead can rock and can roll. And do a lot more. Oasis got slaughtered because they were shit. Radiohead got praised because everyone's afraid of "not getting it". It's a self congratulating circle of bullshit "Oh hey man, I really get your music, I really see what you were doing there man" "Oh thanks maaaan, not everyone gets it, you know? You must be quite an artistic person to appreciate this". It's like "modern art", "Yeah so I've chained this garden gnome to an iPod to show that while we obsess over this capitalist world we will forever be small people, trapped and controlled by it." This kind of shit is every bit as ignorant and annoying as those who say Oasis were brainless thugs who wrote Beatles rip-off yawn-a-longs. Radiohead get praised 'cos they've made The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool, and they're fucking great live. Oasis get loved 'cos they made anthems with melodies that people won't ever forget, with the greatest rock 'n' roll singer on the planet. End of. Anyway, Liam is looking and sounding so cool so far. If you could have pre-ordered the album from the moment Wall of Glass was released, and if the album release was a lot sooner, this would have been a totally perfect start to his solo career.

Liam sounds pretty good. Decent performance and his interview was cool too. Nice to see him like that. Also I have massive hangover and thought I've seen him sing don't look bak in anger, must be a fake video.

I thought the Glastonbury performance was one of the best I've seen from Liam in a while, certainly better than the Beady Eye days. His voice was really good, it would have been nearly perfect if he'd manage to reach some of the high notes (you can't expect miracles, I guess). The negative point for me were the guitar players fucking up some of the solos and riffs, that's downright amateurish. I mean, they've been given some of the easiest and most memorable riffs in the world and still they manage to mess them up. Liam could do with better band members in my opinion. The new songs still leave me pretty cold unfortunately.
As for Radiohead, they were just brilliant. The "they're miserable and they make weird music that people pretend to get so as to look cool" rant got old about twenty years ago, really. Stop making an arse of yourselves.

Wish I could click on a thread ostensibly about Liam's show and not have to read a pissing contest about Oasis vs. Radiohead. Everything in its right place, d'you know what I mean?

You are aware that got started because someone labeled Radiohead "miserable sods" and I asked for reasons why. Didn't get any good ones that didn't contradict Oasis falling into the same traps.

I do like Radiohead but went off them the last few albums, that video with Tom Yorkes 'dad dancing at a wedding' just put me off !
But back to Liam. Just listening to the whole Glastonbury gig again with Liam, blasting it out. Sounded brilliant. Must admit (oh oh !) i've never been a huge fan of D'Ya know what i mean.
The new songs are totally growing on me, more album songs rather than singles but all really good
