Liam didn't cut away from the mic at all, not even once. And he absolutely nailed Live Forever. Respect, RKid.

Imagine this first album actually sets the foundation for an even bigger one next. Now that his value is finally being recognised by the music world the doors are opening. This is a great moment to be a fan...man.... and by the way, he deserves it and he's proving why. So much heart and fight and resolve from Liam. Actually a rock and roll star

Wasn't expecting Liam to appear but that was an unexpectedly strong performance from him. He really is back on form.
Good on him for showing up - it must have been quite a dash for him to get there and I wonder if he and the band even managed a soundcheck.
He's getting some really good press on Australian breakfast television here this morning.
I know he wouldn't want to be accused of "cashing in" but his record company really need to consider bringing his album release date forward.

I think if Liam's solo album and tour are a success, it would actually lead us closer to an Oasis reunion than ever before. Since Beady Eye tanked and the High Flying Birds have been very successful, Noel has been seen in the public eye as the only talented Gallagher, and the godlike genius, while Liam was seen as a Has-been twat. But now that Liam has built up some goodwill with these appearances and will likely gain good reviews with not only the tour, but a solid album, Noel having to contend with his brother again will likely make him miss the massive success they had in Oasis. I don't think Noel can handle the idea of Liam being a solo star in the way Noel has always tried to be.

I can't stand people bitching about Chris Martin or Coldplay performing Oasis songs or accusing Chris Martin of "murdering" DLBIA. And I'm not even a Coldplay fan by the way. It's just stupid. Enjoy the gig and understand the moment and its meaning. I've been reading this pish all over the place tonight, under tonight's videos. Agree. You'd really think that most folk would see it as testament to the enduring quality of Oasis that major acts will cover them. People shitting on Coldplay for honouring the song and Oasis are fucking idiots.

Liam's potential success won't impact Noel's version of post Oasis happiness. And let's put the champagne on ice until Liam actually delivers this album.

According to The Guardian Liam flew in by private jet, bet that wasn't cheap: Liam Gallagher flew in on a private jet but did not join in the singalong of what has become the defiant anthem of the Manchester attacks. Instead, he donned a big orange cagoule like the good old days and belted out Rock ‘n’ Roll Star. The curveball came when he shared vocal duties on Live Forever with Martin, whom he has variously compared unfavourably with a vicar, a geography teacher and a presenter of children’s TV show The Tweenies. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/jun/04/grande-return-ariana-takes-manchester-stage-at-benefit-concert

Guys (and chicks) what's happening? I thought I heard it at Brixton but I put it down to my excitement...but this proves it beyond doubt. Liam Gallagher's voice has ACTUALLY gained power and that old raspiness. I'm literally so shocked and happy at this happening. I can't believe it. How the hell has he managed this? It makes absolutely no sense to the narrative of his voice/ career demise. This is the comeback we actually secretly hoped and thought was a faraway dream. It has happened! So happy the nasal Kermit thing is fading away. I just can't believe this! So proud of him Liam suffers from a thyroid disorder, Hashimoto's. He mentioned this in a recent interview. I wonder if that affected his voice all these years. He sounds great now!!!

Cba wae wee indie freaks in paisley tops that are 1. having a go at chris martin ?? and 2. saying weans who are mostly all fae actual fucking MANCHESTER don't know who Oasis/Liam is? Aye fucking right! As if anyvagina in Manchester hasny at least heard of them.... Wits the point in being pretentious about it? Let them have fun fuck sake. Every wean a seen on the screen was belting their wee hearts oot to Live Forever and good on them. Ye cannae be saying one minute that the youth of today has shite taste in music and then as soon as they're clearly enjoying someone you find good, gon like that "aw aye they're all suddenly fans now!!!!" ? who fucking cares ? gee it a fucking by, gonny? It's bizarre to me when people act like only a certain type of person can like any band, but especially bands that were as big as oasis. It's a fuckin riddy. Musics for everyone. Anyways, Liam done amazing and it made me greet when he flung his tambourine. Wit a magic performance and he really has shown himself to be a pure nice guy for making the extra effort just to be there. Love it! edit: btw this isny aimed at anyone on here, I'm talking about twitter so no offence (but also a couldny care less if anyvagina on here does get offended coz it probs means yer an entitled wee wank)

I'm so fucking pleased for Liam and i'm pleased for all of us fans who have stuck by him for all these years.
This is a massively positive era for Liam now. This tide is turning. Not turning this into a Liam vs Noel in anyway because Noel is doing that all by himself now, but no longer can Noel sit on his tired setlist and safe output, i think he genuinely needs to up his game in my opinion. Thats by no means a bad thing either. Heres to both going to No.1 and a great era for both.

He's one of the main reasons Liam ended up going, and the only reason that song got sung at all. Seriously, some people. Whatever you think of Coldplay (not a fan) he did a good thing.

It's great he flew back for this!
I don't get the praise for his voice though. I thought it was acceptable but a little raspy and kinda worried how long it'll last before it gets worse
