It's 'shockaaan' down here in London how much I have to tailor my accent, the effort is tiring (basically slow it down). Honestly, most folk I work with or have bumped into have never conversed with a Scottish person!

lots of great people here, from all over the globe, who have all come together because of the love of one band. that's the power of music, man. have made some great friends along the way as well! and some other kind souls on here who have personally reached out and helped me thru some tough times recently, you know who you are.

33. Became a fan when I saw Roll with it being played on mtv, back in 1995. Got every album from then on. Around SOTSOG became more fanatic and started collecting the singles as well, plus I got internet which made it more easy to get rare stuff.

Male, born in 1913, became a fan before Ringo was born.
(In all seriousness, I'm 28 and became a fan in early 1996).

Was definitely born after their prime (I was born in the same year Heathen Chemistry was released which I think says it all). Was a casual fan up until 2-3 years ago in which I started discovering more of their songs. I've always liked Oasis for as long as I can remember but I only knew about 10-15 songs.

26.
Got into oasis when Lyla came out, so I got to enjoy 2 album cycles at least.
TIOBI was the first thing I bought on release day and I've bought everything Gallagher related ever since.
I saw oasis twice on the DOYS tour.

31. I became a fan in 2003 after downloading random songs on KaZaA (remember it?). Discovering all those songs was something really special. I remember I downloaded Stand by me and listened to it like 20 times in a row, a year after that I bought BHN and the same song sounded weird and long, the thing is the version I originally listened was mislabeled and it was the acoustic version by the pool.
To this day I still consider that version the 'official' one.

Became a fan in 1996. I was 12 years old. MTV played Wonderwall along with Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins and few other bands, I was hooked. My mother bought me the album at Payless drugstore. That summer was the only album I played. I remembered chasing then, my girlfriend around the roller skating ring with Wonderwall playing. I joined the forum in Apr 29, 2003. This was one of the smaller oasis base forums at the time. Only one survived since 2003. Webby is about getting those huge Social Security checks and retire in Thailand.

34, female.
Was into hip hop and r&b (West coast!) until I was watching MTV music video countdown in 1995 and Wonderwall was number one and i was BLOWN away. Literally couldn't move when I saw it for the first time and ever since then have been obsessed.

27/M.
Got into them at about 12-13 because when I started playing guitar I asked and got DM and then WTSMG for my birthday(s). Used to go in the library with my mum and look at the guitar books and there was ones for DM and WSTMG! Plus hearing stuff like DLBIA and Morning Glory on the radio just spoke to me like music hadn't before. Subsequently bought all the albums up to DOYS and now trying to get them all in vinyl too.
Madferrit!
