Just listened to You're In Love With a Psycho. I don't think it's shit, but I wouldn't say it's great either. They haven't put out anything of note since West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum in my opinion. Although strangley, eez-eh did grow on me.
Still the best live band around though.

For anyone who doesn't know the definition of average this song should clearly spell it out for them. I don't think it's awful but I would certainly expect better from these lot, if it was an album track I wouldn't mind but putting it out as a single really dampens most peoples hopes for a good album on top of that shocking cover. I still have faith that they will release a great album though.

Massive on Kasabian but that tune garbage. I'm not too optimistic about this album. YILWAP, Comeback Kid and Put your life on it are all meh.

I remember hearing about Kasabian in 2004 and seeing them play live on some MTV2 show. I also remember getting Processed Beats from HMV and for the first time getting really excited about a band that wasn't named Oasis. To me, they were the natural successors with Karloff as the clear driving force creatively and sonically. It's clear it went down hill when he left. The first record was great, the second was good and the 3rd was ok. Everything else since has been piss poor drek as far as I'm concerned. Mainly down to the fact they've bought into the Gallaghers 'Let's hype a piss poor record cos if we say it's great everybody will believe us' bollocks before it's release as apposed to just shutting up and been a little more dignified.
They haven't saved Rock n Roll, as it hasn't been in any real danger. Theres a lot of good music out there.
