We can do away with that no oasis rule now we're only allowing each band to have one tune, eh, matt ?

so it seems 'the perfect' album already has flaws, and we're only one track in so far Further proving that a 'perfect album' could never exist

Of course, we all know that I Wanna Be Adored would not have won if you subtract the millions of people who voted illegally.
Thanks.

I would have preferred Waterfall or I am The Resurrection to be chosen for the Roses but I am more than alright with IWBA winning this. Fuck The Clash

Ahah I don't hate them I do like especially London Calling (the album and even the song, which is great) but I prefer the Roses, hands down. The rest of what I have heard from The Clash doesn't do it that much for me tbh (even though I like a few tunes there and then).

Are you saying that we can only nominate songs that are track 2 on their respective albums for the 2nd track on our Most Perfect Album? What if I wanted to nominate Embrace's Fireworks to be track 11? Would I be barred from doing so because it's track 10 on The Good Will Out and not the last song on the album?

That's a good point - how do members want to do this? Maybe just have the intro and last song as corresponding to their positions on the real album, while being free to choose any song in between regardless of their album position? What would you folks prefer?

I Wanna Be Adored is a great album opener but as a song it's not the best from the list. But I don't mind it being on the top because there's that certain atmosphere every time you play it, especially when the bass riff kicks.
My personal favourite from the list is probably Gimme Shelter.

What would you folks prefer? I'd prefer being able to choose any song for any position on our album regardless of where it appears on its respective album. Cuz sometimes bands put great album closers and great album openers in the middle of their albums (Fireworks and The Last Gas being my go-to examples haha). And there's not really a specific reason that, say, Digsy's Dinner is specifically track 9 on DM, as opposed to track 10 for example. It was sequenced where it is because of the context (i.e. what songs came before and after). Digsy's Dinner works well in its sequence because it works well in the context of DM, not because it is track 9. Context is a lot more important than track number IMO.

I would like to have the track correspond with it's original position. Like if Wonderwall is #3 on WTSMG, it should be nominated for #3 on this album.
Otherwise it would get WAY to chaotic. This way you could narrow it down a bit and it may be easier to vote this way.
Having said that, I'm nominating the Beatles' Eleanor Rigby, the Kinks' Death Of A Clown, Touch Me by the Doors, Don't Worry Baby by the Beach Boys, Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.

I agree.
So, as track #2 I'd like to nominate:
Losing My Religion - R.E.M. Pride (In the Name of Love) - U2 Welcome to the Machine - Pink Floyd Eleanor Rigby - The Beatles

"Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin must be among the nominees. But if that would win it would of course disqualify both "Stairway to Heaven" and "When the Levee Breaks" from the rest of the tracklisting voting process...
Apart from that I see both "Dreams" and "Harvest" as strong contenders!
