Weird result. But very interesting, and very high quality tie break.
Push comes to shove though, I'm voting Massive Attack. Blue Lines is a massively underrated album and it would be a shame to miss out this iconic track. And it mixes the genres up a bit for this album, instead of just alternative rock acts.

weird indeed. gutted that the beach boys didn't win this round. i assumed that it was going to come down to between them and zep. i assumed wrong (again).
i'm not the biggest radiohead fan but i am going for karma police all the way in the tie breaker. i mean, if radiohead doesn't manage to make it on to this album with karma police, then...

so checking the scoreboard at the halfway point with 6 of the 12 tracks spoken for, the following are all still on the table:
the stones, the who, weller/the jam, the kinks, U2, queen, the verve, springsteen, bowie, neil young, coldplay, zep, the sex pistols, nirvana, the cure, the doors, to name but a few. remarkable.

I thought it was going to be between The Stones, The Beach Boys and Led Zep.
Surprised to see "Unfinished Sympathy" that high. I must admit I'm not a massive Massive Attack fan (from what I've heard) so I'll vote for Karma Police. Radiohead deserves to be on the list.
For track 7, I'm nominating:
Arcade Fire - Wake Up The Rolling Stones - Torn And Frayed

Well, this certainly is a pleasant surprise! I'm about as diehard a Radiohead fan as it gets, but I have to throw my weight behind Unfinished Sympathy. I don't mean to sound dramatic, but that song is simply one of the most brilliant five minutes in the history of music. Everything from Shara Nelson's vocals, to the light piano touches, to the strings (yes, those STRINGS!!!) is perfect. And what better way to represent another genre besides boring ol' rock than this one? There's no reason that any of you should vote for a Sexy Sadie ripoff instead of this song. And here's some last minute track 7 nominations.... Coldplay - Viva la Vida Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

It was on BBC 4 last month called Unfinished: The Making of Massive Attack surrounding the music culture that Massive Attack emerged from in Bristol.

I'll be voting for Unfinished Symphony
Big Radiohead fan but they've got far greater song left imo; Motion Pitcure Soundtrack, Life in a Glasshouse, Street Spirit, True Love Waits, No Surprises, Lucky, My Iron Lung

Karma Police is not even the best song on OK Computer.
Unfinished Sympathy would be a far more interesting choice. And it's a wonderful tune.

I haven't even heard the Massive Attack song, (I will before I cast my vote) but I still feel like picking that one over Karma Police. Not that I don't think it's a great track, but 1: as someone mentioned, some musical diversity would be great, and 2: Following up How Soon Is Now with another kind of depressing track wouldn't be too great for the flow of the album imo. With all of that said, if the Massive Attack song sucks I'll vote for Radiohead without feeling too bad.
