First track to be heard from the album will be Doylestown Girl this evening - but only airing on Pennsylvanian radio stations. Here's a rip of it: clyp.it/oxyzph1tI really like it, although I must admit that it sounds a bit Ryan on autopilot. The man could write 100 songs like this one in his sleep!

And here's "Manchester" which premeried on (guess what!) XS Radio Manchester this afternoon. It does sound very "Manchester", the outro riff is 100% Smiths. clyp.it/04lu3bzj

That’s very sweet of him. Brave, as well, mentioning Simply Red in the same sentence as The Smiths, Joy Division and New Order, the Roses, and Oasis.

Really lovely song, and another tribute song he’s pulled off spectacularly that directly takes influence without making it a pastiche.

“I never see pics of you anymore,” Adams wrote in November 2014, when he had just turned 40 and Ava was newly 16. “You were blowing my mind.” He had pet names for her body parts.
Days later, Adams expressed anxiety: “If people knew they would say I was like R Kelley lol,” he wrote.
Yet within 10 minutes, the conversation again turned explicit. “I just want you to touch your nipple,” he texted, before again asking about her age. “And tell me that your mom is not gonna kill me if she finds out we even text.”
🤢
Never liked how he got Albert Hammond Jr. on heroin and sabotaged several tries of getting clean.

Oh fuck's sake. Can't say I was a big fan but I did like his music.
It's a shame he turned out to be a nonce.

Just imagine how much shit bands like Zeppelin, The Stones and The Who got away with in their day?

Just imagine how much shit bands like Zeppelin, The Stones and The Who got away with in their day? I mean, the Ryan Adams thing is two fold. It's not just the underage girl, though that should be enough; it's the fact that the guy is just a turd who manipulated women and tried to end their careers. Full stop. Ryan Adams very well admitted that he knew what he was doing was wrong, to the person he was harassing. He doesn't even have the "excuse" of foggy morals and behavior because of drugs. To me, what anyone else "got away with" shouldn't even be entering this conversation.

I’m just making an observation......read books like Hammer of the Gods........you do shit like that to women today and you’re Fucking done. I mean Zeppelin members were regularly having sex with 14 year old groupies. Crazy shit man. Crazy. And they weren’t the only band doing that either. Wild stories from a bygone era. Wrong is always wrong.

For fuck's sake... This made me sad. I guess I'm not a huge fan, but I'm a huge admirer of some of his work. Yesterday I listened to 'Oh My Sweet Carolina', 'Why Do They Leave?'(I guess we know now...) and 'Lo-Fi Tennesse Mountain Angel' with his old band Whiskeytown. Those are some great songs, and sometimes you think you can know and trust a person to be a nice guy just because of how their music makes you feel...
But obviously you can't. Turned out he was nothing but an asshole blessed with talent. Fuck you Ryan.

Still waiting for Jordan to say he's just a victim of a Me Too witch hunt orchestrated by feminazis and George Soros.

Shame, I liked his music.
Wonder if this will stop Noel playing Wonderwall in his style? Probably not.
