Surprisingly and totally unexpected I just got an opportunity to see Noel supporting U2 this Saturday.
It'll be my 4th time to see him solo.
I'm not bothered for U2 at all (sorry U2 fans on this board), but I'm happy to see Noel again.
It'll be weird to see Gem and Chris playing with him again after seeing them with Beady Eye.

I know I am late - but how was it? I had tickets as well but booked flights for a wrong date - and didn't notice it before I stood at the check in counter at the airport... True story! So no Amsterdam gig for me. By the way - did you leave after Noels set or did you stay for the U2 show? |

What makes it even worse - I am a huge U2 fan as well and I don't know if there will ever be a chance again to see U2 and Noel or Liam together at the same concert. By the way - how was the sound? Was the roof completely closed? In some stadiums the sound can be really awful - that's why I prefer smaller venues as well. But with U2 as the headliner its hard to make that dream reality.  Also in Germany the crowd is similar - most people only scream for "Wonderwall" and "Don't look back in anger". |

To my humble ears sound was alright and yes, the roof was completely closed and it was good because by the time when U2 came on stage, it was heavy rain outside. I can tell as I was completely wet inside and outside on my way back home. |
