Fuck U2. Fuck Bono, the pretentious twat. Sean Lock's the man, man. One of the best British comics around today. I love his surrealist side. And I'm not taking it at all well that he's left 8 Out Of 10 Cats. His direct replacement, Rob Beckett, I really like, but Aisling Bea on the other side does kind of get on my tits. I don't know if the producers felt they wanted a female comedian on there for balance (or just to keep off their backs the people who would, if given a chance, jump at the chance of accusing a TV show of not being balanced), but I would rather they had gone for Roisin Conaty. Like Sean Lock and Jimmy Carr, she seems to genuinely enjoy being around other comedians, and that's always nice to see. Also, she manages to avoid coming across like a 'social justice warrior' - and that's a real bugbear of mine with a lot of young female comics you on telly at the moment (for which I count Aisling Bea as one of the worst offenders). Even as a bit of a loony lefty myself, I find all that fake outrage over issues to do with equality stuff grates after awhile, in a panel show situation.

Even as a bit of a loony lefty myself, I find all that fake outrage over matters of equality stuff grates after awhile, in a panel show situation. The problem for her is she simply as far as I am concerned isn't funny, and so compensates with the Irish shtick and being a SJW without a real defined cause. She came from the Brit school, worked bit parts as an actress then 'discovered' she was a comic, using it as far as I can tell to try and get an acting career off the back of it as opposed to a real love for the art. There are some excellent female comics in that genuine SJW role including Holly Walsh and Josie Long, and I agree Roisin would have worked better. Shappi Korshandi I would have loved too but only if her dad took Rob Beckett's place!

I wonder what their source is. The same source we're using? Are we the source? The hyperlink under Noel's name just circles back to the article.

Yeah just saw! Okay then. He'll also be the support act in the Netherlands. Might drag my dad to that concert as he's a big U2 fan.

Aw shit! Why Rome and not Milan? Dammit.
I really wish to see U2 live and Noel supporting would have been the icing on the cake, but going to Rome for this in July will be too expensive (and the gig ticket itself won't be cheap either).

The cheapest tickets in the Amsterdam Arena are €38,50. Not really expensive imo.

Surely we'll have an album announcement by the time this roles around then. Should be some nice publicity for Noel.

Jesus Christ Superstar, Amsterdam Arena?! What the f**k. I've only been to there twice for a stadium tour when my friends from England came over. I'm totally not interested in seeing U2 in a huge stadium, but would like to see Noel. I might get a cheapest ticket.
Gold Hot ticket (best category seats, category1):305 Euro Silver Hot ticket(category2): 229 Euro Standing area: 77 Euro's Seating area:190, 114, 77, 38,50 Euro
I WILL NOT pay such amount of money for the band with the front man I can't stand! 38,50 Euro is about same as I paid for Noel's last gig last year April.

I won't go to the Koning Boudewijnstadion in Brussels. Been there ten years ago to see U2, never again Worst sound ever + sound system was failing on half of the songs. Got annoyed by Bono's preaching in between the songs as well.
Noel will probably play smaller venues when the album comes out anyway.

"It will be both a pleasure and an honour to play my part in what still remains the greatest show on earth"
Please Noel, grow some balls again.

Just curious - how can a domestic gig six months from now be too expensive? Aren't you working? No offense, just curious... If we get tickets on monday, we're heading for Rome and a nice vacation in Italy.

I wonder if he'll just roll out the hits or whether as it's not really his crowd, he can just play whatever random stuff he wants.
