Inspired by threads of the 90s albums by lubeck, Im interested to see what is the least favourite song on the most hated oasis album. I hate to be the bastard that brings up heathen chemistry as its a sore spot for many oasis fans, however I think there are some songs I can admire on this album. On the other hand there is a lot of dog shite.
My vote goes to born on a different cloud. It crawls its way through its icy 6 minute duration with lifeless production. However I dont feel the lyrics and melody are too bad. but id easily take some cocaine fueled be here now production with 7000 guitars on it anyday of the week over this drivel.

terrible vocal, terrible recording effort, not a great song starting out.
This is the result of the "democracy" of 2000's Oasis.

At the moment, Hung In A Bad Place... terrible vocal, terrible recording effort, not a great song starting out. This is the result of the "democracy" of 2000's Oasis. ----- I suspect PAITM will win this hands down though. I actually love Hung In a Bad Place. One of the highlights of the album for me along with The Hindu Times, Songbird and Little by Little. |

Force of Nature and Better Man are the utter stinkers for me, but my god is PAITM bad. Ugliest recordings known to man! One is glam rock dirge, the other just bad, can't really describe what it's supposed to be, and PAITM tries to be some sort of 60s psychedelic/90s britpop mashup but falls flat in every way possible.

Better Man, Hung in a Bad Place, A Quick Peep, Force of Nature are all worthy winners of this category but their are two more which really out stink them; (Probably) All in the Mind and She is Love
She is Love just shades it for me as I literally cannot listen to it without feeling sick, terrible lyrics, terrible melody it's a horrible piece of music

(Probably) All In The Mind. I refuse to believe the guy who wrote Live Forever also wrote this abomination. It is the kind of song anyone who know how to play three chords could write, and realize it is too horrible to show it to people. It's not a song I like, but once again it brings me back to my favourite Indonesian bar band performing said song- The first user comment states it as being "one of my favorite oasis songs  "  |

After seeing all the hate paitm was getting I thought I may as well listen to it again as its been a long while since I actually listened to some songs on that album. Thoughts in my head such as "it cant be that bad, its only four minutes" were racing through my mind. My GOD was I wrong. This is an absoloutley awful song, the lyrics " show me who you are, show me who you love" uuggghh. Poor liams voice hasnt got any worse than this in the studio has it? The recording is just so ugly. 4 minuites started to feel like 4 hours, thank god when it was over. Im changing my vote I think.
It might in fact be worse than nature of reality.

Has to be the pointless The Cage.
Has to be said though that this album is still far better than DBTT and DOYS, and on par with SOTSOG. Still baffles me why it gets so much hate on here.
Comparing the last half of DOYS to any of the tracks on this album, and you'll find there is no competition at all.

DOYS' 2nd half is weak but it never sinks as low as PAITM or She Is Love I slighty prefer DOYS over Heathen Chemistry (still an average album for me) but his second part has some big lows too... Ain't Got Nothing and The Nature of Reality are up there with PAITM for the worst ever by the band. She Is Love isn't as bad as people make it to be. Just shouldn't have been an A-side. |

The only really bad song on Heathen Chemistry is (Probably) All in the Mind.
Force of Nature, Hung in a Bad Place, Born on a Different Cloud and Better Man are all great live.
I hope Noel will play She Is Love on his next tour.

Probably All in the Mind isn't a great song, but it still pisses on most of the tracks from DBTT and DOYS.
