From memory, you'd need these to do a soundtrack:
Columbia (Knebworth) Life in Vain Take Me Live Forever (Radio session) Wonderwall (Earl's Court) Don't Look Back In Anger (Dublin) Morning Glory (David Letterman) Acquiesce (Earl's Court) Supersonic Rock n Roll Star (Whiskey) Talk Tonight All Around the World (1992) Champagne Supernova (Knebworth) Some Might Say Cigarettes and Alcohol (Monnow Valley) Bring It On Down (Hit the North) Sad Song (Liam) The Masterplan It's Better People Gotta Have Fun
The Some Might Say demo and Wonderwall at Maine Road also appeared but I've left them out so there isn't duplication. What have I missed? One of the other early songs was there but I can't remember which one.

They never did explain why they had footage of Noel phoning Paul and his mum from the Inspiral Carpets tour, that and the recording of the McGee/Owen Morris phone conversation was bizarre. I have a feeling that footage was from 1994 or 1995 and was a re-enactment. Think you're probably right.

Did anyone else notice that Guigs was digitally removed from all the Top of the Pops footage??? Weird. was there any mention of him then? seems like a strange thing if he was talked about anyway but if not it might be simply that he wasnt willing to take part in the film and with him not really being the most noticeable person of the band they just removed any mention of him as to not point it out and have people wonder he is.....still seems abit extreme to chris benoit him from footage like that. There was loads of actual footage of him throughout. I didn't notice he was missing from the TotP stuff but he must have been of people were saying it. There was an archival recording of him speaking too.

He gots mentioned a lot, they talk about him getting sick, replaced by Scott, and peforming at Letterman with a 4 piece.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before — did anyone notice Whitey was completely CGI-ed out of every live shot? Knebworth, Earls Court, Maine Road, Letterman — there was just an empty drum riser with some superimposed/copied curtain materials behind it. So weird. But then he was in the short bit after the Tony-sacking segment ... I was thinking maybe that's why Knebworth hasn't been put out, perhaps he won't allow himself to be in it.

At the very beginning: Abel and Cable instead of Cain and Abel. The cinema I was in was laughing out loud when they heard that.

That Live Forever demo was brilliant with Noel on vocals. Dead sure that was a live session with Andy and Gem on 12 string for an American radio station in 2005/6

I didn't, but I have the beginnings of a theory: did Guigs and Whitey only appear in footage owned by the band? TV performances would have been property of the TV companies. Why that would result in this bizarre airbrushing I don't know.

Bloody hell, didn't notice that at all. theyknowwhatimean It was funny because for me Knebworth was more sad than euphoric in the film. I got nostalgic for the really early days, especially seeing stuff like the TOTP behind the scenes footage. Knebworth felt like the end of something and like the magic had run out. It was funny at the Q&A when Liam suggested they do a sequel from 1996-2009 and everyone kind of reacted like, Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

That bit when coyle described Liam as an excited kid chasing leaves round the school yard got me when there was trouble on the ferry going to Amsterdam, funny.
Another thing I was wondering , with some of the early songs being on the doc that we've all heard on here like take me and life in vain, does that mean they have the early songs in better quality and there's a chance they could be released? Saying that Liam sad song never saw the DM reissue so probably not.
So much rare footage and clips dug up though, been waiting a long time to see some of that and a mention for the sound as well, makes a difference when your watching it on the big screen and the speakers are loud in the cinema.

Ah yes, the ferry story was particularly good. Had everyone laughing, that.
We've all heard it before, of course, but Liam told it well, and the animations that accompanied it were inspired.

How dodgy did those women with Liam and Noel at the hotel in Japan look?

Anyone else spot the credits had Take Me down as written by Noel? Maybe a mistake, thought it was common knowledge it's a Liam/Bonehead number

The only thing missing from this evening was that you couldn't buy Knebworth when you walked out the door.

Yeah that version of Sad Song was amazing. Couldn't believe it at first, thought it was a soundalike at first. Other points of note: "But What If" was played! They cut the bits out with Noel singing, but it was on the credits as well, written by Noel Gallagher, licensed by Noel Gallagher and officially published as well. Live Forever Forum was mentioned in the credits in the "Thanks to" section. Alternative Champagne Supernova vocal, with video as well. Monnow Valley version of Cigarettes & Alcohol. Good chunk of the Boardwalk version of All Around The World, more than what we had before. More bits might come to mind. We've made the big time! P.S. What is 'But What If'?
