I don't think Slide Away appeared in the film at all did it? Don't think it did. No Slide Away, No Whatever, no Roll With It, no I am the Walrus (rights to be paid for that I guess) but you can't get them all in. No Seamp Song but they did have Fuckin' in the Bushes. No Listen Up. Was FITB actually in the film? I thought it was just played in the trailer and during those clips they showed in the build-up.

Damn. Anyway, what I read so far from you guys sounded really cool But now I'm desperately waiting for a crappy cam recording to leak I can understand that it will be hard for you to hold out. But wait for a (illegal) dvd/bluray version. Of course I will. I was just kidding. I don't do shit like that

Think they need to start emptying the vault at this point. Sessions, BBC stuff, live albums, concerts, pyjamas, the works!

The footage of them walking onto the stage at Knebworth and them kicking giant blow up football's into the crowd blew me away. It's almost like you're onstage with them.
Also great to see the train wreck Whisky A go go gig where they're all messed up.
Backstage for Top of the Pops when they're slagging of Boyzone is hilarious.
Tony Mccarroll talking about being sacked was really sad surprisingly and I've read his book as well.

Isn't that version of Cigarettes & Alcohol on the Safety Masters? I'm almost sure I've heard it before. It could be, I've never heard of the Safety Masters mate? It may well be like, but it's definitely not the version that was released with Stop The Clocks. Ah you should check them out! You're in for a treat. Noel's comment about his dad "beating the talent into me" was a bit dark.
The Noel footage from his Inspirals days was fun.

Ah, so I wasn't far off then - as in that is the version done at Monnow Valley.

It was shite to be honest, you didn't miss much. Liam tried to do an impression of Noel going mental over the Ferry incident, but he sounded Indian. How awks was it when bonehead said "that's a bit racist"! Ha, yeah, think Liam started worrying he'd be up in court like Gazza. I can see why Ted Kessler writes rather than does stuff on TV...

Nope. BTW, I actually really liked the Monnow Valley version of Cigs and Alcohol! But, that's only because it's entirely different to the version we've had. It's not even like the demo released with Stop The Clocks. As an alternative take, it's great (as a piece of Oasis history). Isn't that version of Cigarettes & Alcohol on the Safety Masters? I'm almost sure I've heard it before. The "demo" on the Stop the Clocks EP is actually from a 1993 radio session (Hit the North, I think). Yeah, sounded like the Safety Masters version to me.

Am I the only who was expecting a different story from that woman when Liam calles her to go come to is hotel room? Yeah, especially when she said "Liam was almost shimmering" or whatever. Then he starts talking about his dad... It did feel at times as though they shoehorned drama in to give it a kind of movie narrative arc.

They never did explain why they had footage of Noel phoning Paul and his mum from the Inspiral Carpets tour, that and the recording of the McGee/Owen Morris phone conversation was bizarre.

Loved every second of it. I only wish they would release the soundtrack to go with it.

Absolutely brilliant that! We need to get Liams version of Sad Song! If the DVD/Blu-Ray is in 5.1 audio, someone should be able to extract the music track without the dialogue over the top. I wouldn't know how to start doing that myself, but I know it's been done with some Bob Dylan songs on a movie soundtrack. According to the German Amazon listing, the Blu-Ray is in 5.1. So with any luck, there will be separate tracks for the soundtrack and the dialogue, meaning someone will be able to rip the audio of things like Sad Song (Liam), AATW (Boardwalk), and the Champagne Supernova recording session. We obviously wouldn't get the full songs, but we'd at least get clips without anyone speaking over them.

Q&A after, the directors cut was 7-8 hours long, that would be something else. When he said it would cost alot of money to do it, "who would pay"... i was like... live4ever forum would so do that Defo mate, I was thinking that as well

Weird. was there any mention of him then? seems like a strange thing if he was talked about anyway but if not it might be simply that he wasnt willing to take part in the film and with him not really being the most noticeable person of the band they just removed any mention of him as to not point it out and have people wonder he is.....still seems abit extreme to chris benoit him from footage like that.
