I know for a fact that she is very aware of what Noel went on to become, and that she is the inspiration for that song (Talk Tonight). She has a family and a different life now, as does Noel. I will consider asking if she would be up for a short interview, but it's one of these things where I guess what happened between them all these years ago is somewhat of a brief but beautiful moment in the life of two people, and I'm not sure if exposure is of any good, or if the story might be best left as is. Noel seems to tell the anecdote in his typical style, not surprisingly. Give me some time and I'll let you know if this is something to revisit in an article or some form. Have thought about it before, but it needs to be done right. That's incredible! Thanks for sharing such information with us.

Champagne Supernova was the track they had problems recording Liam's vocals on because his voice was knackered, and you can tell on the clip in Supersonic.
His tone sounds great for the most part but he is straining at times.

Yes a WTSMG DVD would have been great but I think they only released the DM DVD in 2004 as they weren't releasing an album that year as they were still writing and recording DBTT. So they wouldn't have released a WTSMG DVD in the same year, 2005, as DBTT. A missed opportunity. Legend has it they recorded Roll With It in one take, I'd have liked to have seen that. Plus the Boneheads Bank Holiday session where bonehead and Liam were drunk and everyone's take on the "cricket bat" incident.

Sorry if it's been addressed...but do we know much/anything about a US release of the blu ray?
I know it's a Halloween/31st deal in the UK...will it at least be region-free if we don't get a bona-fide US release?
Thanks all.

I nearly stood up in a cinema when I noticed it and like "what? no, it can't be...yes, it is!".

People who haven't seen the movie in full yet, try and refrain from watching clips like the one above. You'll enjoy yourself more if you haven't had everything spoiled for you beforehand.
EDIT: I realise this is the Supersonic SPOILERS thread, but still...

Only saw the Champagne Supernova clip. And the trailer of course. Can't wait til the DVD gets here.

EDIT: I realise this is the Supersonic SPOILERS thread, but still... Yep. I've now watched it in Manchester on Saturday evening for the first time and was glad that most preview clips were barred on german Youtube. I knew the parts that I could have seen already and was literally awestrucked throughout the movie. Can't really give a rational review or opinion because of that, all these emotions need to settle down for some time. But hey, I'm going to watch it again on Thursday in Berlin. With Liam and Bonehead! :-) EDIT: Glory days!

I just knew afterwards that I'd enjoyed myself thoroughly. But seeing it in a cinema is defintely the way to do your first viewing, if you're lucky enough to be able to get to a screening. I'll never forget the wave of emotions I felt coming over me when I watched it first - particularly during the first half of the film, I was one minute laughing out loud at some silly thing Liam or Noel had said in their voice-over interviews, the next minute getting a lump in my throat over Peggie talking about bringing her sons up. Incidentally, how have you found Manchester? I personally love the place, but I don't know what experience you have with Britain. If none at all - or if you've just spent some time London and it's surrounding areas, down south - I can't imagine what an outsider would make of the city on first inspection.

The Printworks is the Odeon, across from the Corn Exchange, right? That's where I actually applied first for tickets, but for some reason it wasn't screened on Saturday. I ended up at the AMC near the old Hacienda. I totally agree with your sentiments about the movie. If it was up to me, I would have gladly watched the entire 8 hour cut with no break. Manchester was fantastic. Took me by surprise I have to say. Nice city, good people, plenty of bars and restaurants. Work didn't go down too well, but that wasn't my main intention to travel there anyway. The city is not quite London yet (where I've spent a few weeks, including the south coast, you're right), then again Manchester's inner-city has a good, but easy to grasp size and offers anything you'd want, including and foremost some amazing music history.
